Profilstärkung in den Bereichen internationale Wirtschaft und interkulturellen Kompetenz
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

At our school we are currently pursuing two projects: one is the internationalization, especially as a model school for the new faculty „International Business”. The second one is the increase of the intercultural competence of our students. As a school with a high proportion of pupils with a migration background, we have a high demand for an increase in intercultural competence, including the advancement of students with poor German language skills. To achieve these goals, we have planned three types of actions: The first action concerns the internationalization. Two teachers of the new profile subjects should join two appropriate training-courses in the course of 24 months. These trainings are supposed to take place in London, the European center of international business. They should deal with the internationalization of business and economics on the one hand and human resources, including the labor market and the international job search on the other hand. As a result the colleagues should get an authentic insight into these areas. The second action is about foreign language teaching: Acting in an international world is not possible without the ability of speaking with partners. Since languages continue to develop, a modern teaching of foreign language is not possible without ongoing training. Therefore, one Spanish, one French and two English teachers will be sent on courses in the respective country in order to keep up to date with the current language developments. Particular emphasis will be put on the special language and mode of expression in the office and at the workplace. The third action includes a jobshadowing of a German-language teacher at a Turkish school: For two weeks one will accompany a teacher of a Turkish high school to learn about cultural differences in school and during the school day. Since the school will have a long experience in teaching German for Turkish students, we expect insights from the jobshadowing which will not only be implemented into our project for the strengthening of intercultural competence, but also find new ideas about how to support students with weak German skills. It is the aim of our project on internationalization, to establish the best possible basis for teaching the new course “International Business”, for which we are a model school, and to provide our students with the best possible preparation for the world of global business. The project regarding the support of students with poor German language skills is designed to help them to integrate into German society and successfully take a step into the labor market. Furthermore, we want to educate our students to become qualified cross-cultural participants in our society. Overall, we hope to sharpen our profile as a school that allows students from many different cultures to not only pass the Bavarian (Fach-)Abitur, the highest high school diploma available in Germany, but also to fully prepare them for the challenges of a culturally diverse and yet globalized world.
