The project "Professionalization of teaching staff" of katholiek scholencentrum JOMA aims to facilitate the international mobility of teaching staff, improve and utilize the experiences and knowledge in the school for the benefit of the pupils. The keywords are digital competence, innovation of teaching of modern foreign languages (MFL) and international project management.From the school year 2013-2014, the school has been committed to the enhancement of the DIGITAL COMPETENCE of teachers. This was carried out with training courses within and outside the school. This priority remains. To use digital technologies in teaching, teachers must acquire digital skills. Acquire digital skills is best done without pressure, in an environment that allows practice and reflection. That is why we are so interested in the courses for individual learning mobility, focusing mainly on digital competences.We expect the participants of the courses will return to the school with some examples of good practice, with the skills to help themselves to contribute to the digitization in general and the and digitization in the school grade in which they teach. Over the next two years, a colleague of each grade will follow an individual learning mobility of digital techniques.In the last five years a thorough INNOVATION OF TEACHING OF MODERN FOREIGN LANGUAGES was carried out, especially in the field of evaluation, the importance of skills and authentic tasks in language tasks. It is necessary to put the changing insights in language teaching in an international context and discuss the new methodology with specialists of the target language. These discussions acquire a participatory manner which can almost exclusively be provided in a foreign course.We expect that participants in these courses will support the innovation in MFL better and that they will return with new material and applications within the new methodology. Authentic language tasks, and an updated look at the MFL help to implement the innovation in the school in an effective manner.Finally, we would like the staff to be skilled in INTERNATIONAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT. In international cooperation, which both use digital techniques as well as modern foreign languages, the results of the individual learning mobilities should be practical for the students. In the selection of the courses this aspect has always been considered. In addition to the individual learning mobility for teachers, the school has meanwhile taken steps to realize the learning mobility of learners in a KA102 project and a renewed application for a KA219 project.
