Professional Training on EU Affairs
Date du début: 1 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 31 août 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

PONT (Professional Training on EU Affairs) enhances teaching and training activities on EU subjects by providing a bridge connecting young academics and EU practitioners (incl. policy-makers and think tankers). It does so by offering high-quality training on EU governance to improve the employability of a target audience of 120 Master and PhD students from various disciplines seeking a job in EU affairs.PONT fosters activities aimed at analysing EU subjects and their teaching by three key activities, flanked by innovative educational tools such as webcasts with EU professionals:- Three Working Europe Seminars bring about a first-hand understanding of both academic analysis and everyday practice of EU decision-making by offering young post-graduates insights in the “real life” political processes of salient EU topics such as health, climate and energy and migration policy.- Three Career Skills Trainings enable young academics to identify, acquire and improve their professional skills. The trainings offer a valuable complement to the education offered in universities by teaching skills required in a professional EU environment and thereby increasing participants' employability.- The seminars and trainings are connected with the academic and EU policy agenda by actively involving participants in six TEPSA Pre-Presidency Conferences. The conferences bring together policy-makers, academics, civil society and citizens, to discuss the agenda and challenges of the upcoming EU Council Presidency in the respective capital. The conferences benefit from the knowledge and contacts of local TEPSA member institutes.TEPSA activates its pan-European network of research institutes in 30 countries to ensure a successful implementation and dissemination of PONT. By becoming a Jean Monnet Institution, TEPSA will act as a key reference point and multiplier for professional training activities on EU affairs and provide a sustainable bridge between academia and EU practitioners.
