Professional automotive training

The project seeks to target the problem of the absence of appropriate educational materials for key vocational subjects in automotive industry and to increase the quality of learning in Slovak VET, which was recognized as the national priority for LdV programme – Transfer of innovation. Currently, automotive schools with similar field of study recognize four key vocational subjects for specific Car related professions – Automobiles, Auto Servicing and Diagnostics, Plumbing Technology and Lacquer Technology. However, the teaching materials corresponding with European standards are accessible only for the vocational subject called – Automobiles. Therefore, the project offers possible solution to this problem. The final outcome of the project are 12 online modules (at least 300 learning screens) for vocational subjects Auto Servicing and Diagnostics, Plumbing Technology and Lacquer Technology (2nd and 3rd grade of study) , as well as 3 textbooks for each subject. The project so far targeted about of 500 students and teachers from 14 VET schools in Car repair, service and retail professions in SK. The other potential beneficiaries are employment offices providing re-qualifications, educational and training institutions concerned on Car related professions, employees of automotive industry enterprises and other vocational public in SK and abroad. Those outcomes were accomplished by means of cooperation of 6 partners, whereas the project contractor – SOSA SK was responsible for project management; ATT Training provided 300 learning screens developed in UK; Center for Modern Education CZ (CFME CZ) provided online tools for development of e-learning platform; CFME SK ensured the localization of technologies transferred from CZ and UK and upload of the content developed by SOSA SK into online modules; State Institute of Vocational Education (SIOV) was responsible for dissemination process and Stredni odborni skola automobilni Holice participated in testing and provided the feedback about the final products.
