The project called The Proffesional Development in the Sphere of Social Service in Portugal was successful and all the objectives of the project were fulfilled. 14 students of 1.- 3. year of studies of Pedagogical lyceum (10 students) and Social Studies (4 students) and 2 teachers from Secondary School, Havířov-Prostřední Suchá, příspěvková organizace, participated in the mobility. The realization of the project took place in Braga, Portugal, in April and May 2016 and it lasted one month. The mobilities were prepared in cooperation with intermediary organization Braga mob - Aplicaproposta LDA. Originally, the project had been prepared in cooperation with the Follow Up Minho company, which unfortunatelly ended its activities, thus the project was finally prepared in cooperation with another Portuguese company Braga mob. During the internships the participants were placed in Ascredno institution which provides social services for seniors, and in educational organization Agrupamento, which is a group of kindergartens and primary schools in Vila Verde. In the above mentioned institutions the participants learnt about their working environments, structure and functioning of these institutions and they gained practical experience and skills of educational system and social services different from the Czech Republic. The students of pedagogical lyceum changed their working environments every week, so they worked in 4 different places: kindergartens, primary schools, sport centres and in the library. The students of social studies were working in the old people´s homes. The students were tutored by professional workers of the organizations who could speak English. The main objectives of the mobility were to provide practical training in primary education and social service outside the Czech Republic and to develop students´ professional competences, which was completely fulfilled due to professional tutoring. Another important objective that was aimed to be fulfilled was to get to know a new educational and social system and to motivate the students for studies at university or to take part in another internship abroad in their future. The participants appreciated the insight they gained during the internship abroad, they lost their awarness of unknown environment and they consider a future possibility of studying abroad as a great challange. Other objectives of the project were getting to know society and culture of the specific region and improvement of language skills of the participants. These objectives were fulfilled not only thanks to the intensive Portuguese language course enriched with realia about Portugal, but also thanks to many trips to important historical and cultural destinations in Portugal. It is necessary to mention the improvement in language skills of English and Portuguese as well. After the internship the students recieved the certificates prepared by the receiving companies and Europass-mobility documents prepared by the sending institution. The intermedairy institutions provided the certificates declaring attendance in Portuguase language course and reaching A1/A2 level. Improvement of the above mentioned competences and receiving the documents led to development of professional qualification and personal development of participants, thank to which they increase their chances of finding jobs in the region for which unemployment is a very typical feature. The realization of the project, the experiences and results are and will be distributed and spread among other students and they will also be important for realization of educational programmmes of the sending institution.
