“PTG Sh. Petyoffe”, Razgrad, is proposing a training project which involves sending 20 vocational students to the United Kingdom. As part of the project, the students will gain professional experience and English knowledge for their specific professions. Our business partner for this project is “ADC College” which is renowned for its experience in mobility projects for students. The training of our students in the UK will enhance their skills and competencies in a new production environment. It will also enrich their language and communication skills, and generate useful ideas and positive experience. The transfer of the acquired foreign experience into the local community will contribute to the development of our region. By receiving practical training in ADC College, the participants will deepen their understanding of their selected professions and competency in professional English. They will learn about the culture and traditions in the UK, and expand their vision. They will also gain new social contacts and knowledge of teamwork in a multinational environment, as well as increase their personal satisfaction and confidence. The successful implementation of the project will meet the following objectives: - Working with new techniques and technologies in order to enhance the students’ skills and competencies in their chosen profession. - Familiarity with the European standards of work, and a certificate of acquired skills that will provide better opportunities for future career development; - Improve language skills with a view of their future work with technical and reference books ; - Enhance the prestige of the school. The project will include 20 students from Grade 11 and 12. They are taught in classes with focus on English. The students will be chosen from one of the following specialties: " System Programming " and " Computer Engineering". The students have already received part of their training in the profession. They have also acquired substantial knowledge in the professions. The curriculum of the occupations included a large number of practical classes and mandatory professional experience. The training in English, which they will receive as part of the project, would boost the students’ knowledge and usage of professional English. The project addresses their need for more experience in practical training and insight into other methods and approaches to professional learning. Mobility is planned for 14 days with the partner organization ADC College. During this period, the main activity will be related to practical work places by field of research, including expert sessions, expert guidance and monitoring of individual progress. The transfer of acquired foreign experience into the local community will contribute to the development of our region, which is one of most deprived in the country.
