Kursenai Polytechnic School, Public Institution, cooperating with two vocational training schools in Lithuania: Siauliai Professional Training Centre and Mazeikiai Polytechnic School (National consortium) implemented the project in order to improve the skills and competences of persons who are responsible in organizing and implementing the initial vocational training. The aim was - to take in some new, fresh impulsion in vocational training for a better quality. In collaboration with the French and Spanish partner institutions, in the project we sought the optimum: we related self-improvement, ideas, experience and advanced technology. The participants of the project – 21 persons (Schools' leaders, vocational training teachers) from Kursenai Polytechnic School, Public Institution, Mazeikiai Polytechnic School and Siauliai Professional Training Centre. During the project participants participated in a one-week duration job observation/assistance learning visits in Spain (Barcelona), France (Paris) and Spain (Canary Islands, Tenerife) vocational training institutions, apprenticeship centres. Project results: - Improved skills and competences in professional, managerial, business, IT, technology and foreign languages of 21 persons, who are responsible for initial vocational training in Kursenai Polytechnic School, Public Institution, Mazeikiai Polytechnic School and Siauliai Professional Training Centre; - Prepared 10 new different programs supplemented the spectrum of non-formal vocational training programs for students with different abilities; - The project had an impact in the local, regional and national levels; - Better preparation of qualified professionals contributed and will contribute to reduce the level of unemployment in Lithuania; - Enhanced vocational training image and attractiveness; - The results and experience achieved during the project also will benefit the indirect beneficiaries: other people who are responsible for organising and implementing the initial vocational training in Kursenai Polytechnic School, Public Institution, Mazeikiai Polytechnic School and Siauliai Professional Training Centre – teachers and managers. In order to achieve quality changing of educational experience and adaptability, every member of the consortium created a team of consultants - leaders (the participants of project). It will help other teachers and managers of the organization to develop the professional and managerial competencies. It will also share the experience - how to associate learning outcomes with learning opportunities.
