There will be a group of 18students with two teachers of ZDZ in Katowice taking part in the project. In 2016/2017 the students will be in 3rd grade. Taking into consideration needs of developing skills and vocational qualifications, and improving language skills they will take part in a week-long training in international logistics companies in Granada in Spain. The choice of country and place of apprenticeship is chosen according to high job market standards and poor students' professional experience. At the same time when students go on job shadowing teachers are going too. It will last 12 days. They will visit companies where students will have their apprenticeship and schools where students study logistics. This visit is particualrly impotant to teachers becasue in the era of TSL and logistics they can get to know advanced technologies and use new teaching methods, and improve their own. The main aim of the project is improving the quality of vocational training through gaining knowledge and skills by 18 students studying as logisticians and 15 teachers of Technical School in ZDZ in Katowice. The main aims are: - getting to know big logistics companies - using learnt skills, enlarging skills and qualifications in new surroundings – improving cooperation skills in professional international team – getting the feeling of responsibility of the job done and the quality of job, and ways and organizastion of the done job in the places of apprenticeship – getting to know the IT system and documentation used in large logistics companies – improving self-confidence through work in international environment, breaking language barriers and cultural differences, dealing with difficult situations – getting to know the culture and work system of the other country The above aims are related to the aims of Erasmus + Program. Main results of the project will be: -gaining knowledge and vocational competences in the field of: organizing transport of goods, choosing methods of loading/unloading, and equipment used, ways of warehousing of goods, with the use of integrated supply chain, using IT systems used in large logistics companies, using logistics documentation, using appropriate codification of goods - improving language skills - Vocational English and learning basic Spanish - intercultural competences, - personal growth - presentations about logistics (they will be used during classes) - e-dictionary of logistics terms in English - mini guide to Andalucia The schedule of the apprenticeship is confirmed by employers of logistics, organization Europroyectos LdV and is related to school's apprenticeship schedule. The chosen partner holds over 70 apprenticeships every year in Spain. It cooperates with over 100 partners in Europe, cooperates with over 500 companies and logistics institutions. Ever year those companies host students form Spain and other countries (from Poland too). Europroyectos LdV chose for students places of apprenticeship and for teachers companies and schools for study visits so that the aims are fully realized. The visits will take place in July for teachers, September for students. The schedule was prepared so that tasks were divided between partners. The realization of the project will improve students' vocational language skills and vocational competences of students and teachers. They will have the chance to see how logistics works in practice. They will gain experience in an international environment. Students will get to know technologies and devices and programs used in large companies where logistics is developed, and they are cost-effective as a rule. Students will have a chance to get to know the logistics processes. Teachers will improve their vocational qualifications, the apprenticeship will enable them to use effective teaching methods. School will become more attractive for new students. Spanish partner will improve the ability to realize the apprenticeship.
