Initiator of the project “Entrepreneurship – turning our ideas into a successful farming” as part of the Sector programme “Erasmus +”, KA 1 – Educational Mobility is Professional High School of Agriculture “Nikola Pushkarov”, Popovo. The project targets students undergoing basic professional education on the professions “Economy”, "Technician of plants", “Technician of agricultural machinery” and “Organizator of TAA”. These are 20 students interested in the area of agribusiness (organic farming, organic production, ecological way of living). The region provides excellent conditions for a development of the agribusiness. There are over 500 registered farmers as well as many Agricultural cooperatives. Vocational training aims the creation of motivation for starting a private business in the field of agribusiness. The entrepreneurial knowledge is particularly useful for these aims. While implementing the “Europe 2020", National strategy for lifelong education and the Strategy of PHSA “Nikola Pushkarov”, the students will form useful entrepreneurial skills. Often that is provided by informal education. In “Europe 2020” and the National entrepreneurship and self – employment strategy, these are a key element in the achievement of a stable and inclusive growth. Developing skills for the support of stable growth and healthy way of living are also of importance. Related to this is the PHSA initiative to conduct an educational mobility in Biofarm “Patriche”. In an informal environment the participants in the project will become familiar with the European agribusiness, gain knowledge and skills, and will become motivated to start managing their own private business. The project spans for 3 weeks, with 16 ½ workdays and a 7-8 hour attendance. They include theoretical as well as practical education. Theoretical lessons include topics from the basis of the “Europe 2020”, as well as topics on entrepreneurship – essence, role and a personal characterization of the entrepreneur; development of managerial skills and a competitiveness in creating and managing of a private business; training in entrepreneurial strategies, skills in creating a business plan; successful management of a small business in the sphere of bio - production and the role of the small farmers in the future of the world’s food sources. Practical education plans conducting practices in the field of Organic farming, Organic livestock production, manufacture of organic products, the servicing of clients in the field of rural tourism while applying all the Eurostandarts in those areas. While conducting the mobility various different interactive methods will be executed such as “World Cafe”, “Training workshop”, “Folder Reality”, “Notes on the wall”, „Learning while making” Practice, discussion, observations, cases studying and ideas exchange. The main objective of this project is the acquisition of practical knowledge and skills in the field of agricultural business and improving the students’ proffesional capacities through adopting good practices and innovative methods. In order for the young people to succeed on the labor market or establish their own business, they must have the required skills and qualifications – all the stages of the agricultural business development: marketing, management, entrepreneurial skills, field work and rearing, production of organic products and agritourism. Specific objectives are: For the users: adoption of innovations in the field of agricultural business; practical education on the conservation of the traditional technologies in organic farming; furtherance the students’ professional realization as producers and dealers of agricultural production; motivation to establish their own agribusiness. We also aims personal growth: developing a new thinking perspective; stimulating team work, tolerance in communication. Regarding the sending organization: enhancing the quality of the professional training through enriching practical education; furtherance of the entrepreneurial education; consolidation the partnership with the Biofarm. Regarding the hosting organization: introduction of the innovations in the standards of professional education in Bulgaria; developing an adaptive programme aiming towards a future beneficiaries. Expected results: 20 students will adopt knowledge and skills in the field of agricultural business and youth entrepreneurship according to the European standards for the development of youth mobility; through internationally recognized professional qualifications the interest in professional education will be raised; materials will be made to promote the main conclusions of the European experience in professional education and lifelong learning; lucidity and awareness for the mobility of the European labor market will be achieved. Validation of the practice will be insured with the publishing of a Europass mobility certificate to each of the users. The contractual mobility will be in july 2015.
