Law of the jungle says: everybody is who is – project realized by 12 person theatre group working in Kociewian Education and Culture Association Ognisko. Receivers of our project are mentally handicapped children (about 400 person). Prepared by our group: performance and theatre classes are opportunity for mentally handicapped children and those ones attending to so-called integrated classes for theatre art by themselves, but most of all for integration with their classmates, for appreciation of their self-esteem, acceptance of themselves. These contribute to improvement of the quality of children’s (and ours) lives, to better managing in real life. We are going to participate in general development theatre classes and talk connected to the work with handicapped children. In frames of our theatre abilities education we are going to take part in workshops in Wroclaw theatre school Wroclaw and to attend to theatre performances. Our project will help us to develop our creativity. Additionally we will produce the film showing our work in the project. Task of the film is to encourage the young people to participate in similar events and to show how to realize similar activities. Our film will be presented on the lessons about society and culture in junior high schools and secondary schools.
