The main aim of the project entitled: “Traineeships in Germany as an Opportunity to Develop Knowledge and Skills of the Students of the Complex of Schools No 1 in Myszkow” is to expand the key competences and skills that are required for the contemporary work markets. The participants will be 30 students who specialise to be mechatronics technicians and car mechanics technicians. The programme has been prepared by the school in cooperation with a German company Vitalis GmbH. The aims of the project are to develop language skills of the participants, especially the professional vocabulary used for mechatronics and car mechanics, to expand knowledge, skills and professional experience relevant for their specializations, to raise the students' personal competences, i.e. self-esteem, self-confidence, stress resistance and self-presentation. They will also boost their motivation for learning foreign languages and get professional experience; they will learn about German culture and traditions as well as develop tolerance and multicultural openness. The school will be able to increase the quality of professional training and to improve its educational offer, it will be more recognizable in the region and its teaching potential will grow significantly. The school staff will expand their competences in creating and maintaining such projects, they will develop their language skills, culture awareness and the know-how of international cooperation. The project is scheduled to be carried out between 1st June 2016 to 31st May 2017. The participants will be 30 second grade students: 15 mechatronics technicians and 15 car mechanics technicians. First, they will take part in a series of preparatory language, cultural and pedagogical classes which will take place in September, October and November 2016. Then they will participate in a foreign mobility from 20th November 2016 to 17th December 2016, including two days for the journey. The students will be accompanied by two teachers. The school will take actions to promote the results of the project. The added value of the mobility for the participants will be acquiring practical experience in the international environment, the contact with everyday language and breaking the language barrier, which will enable them to learn foreign languages much faster than during regular classes at school. The will get experience of being with people of other nationalities in and outside the workplace. The certificates that students will acquire, including the Europass Mobility, will give them better opportunities for employment in Poland and on foreign work markets, because such documents prove the quality of the professional and language skills they have gained abroad. The school will implement and promote the project's results as a part of the programme. The main aim of the promotion of the project will be to keep it alive through transferring the knowledge about the participants' achievements and to use their experience on the daily basis in the process of teaching.
