With the Project „Foreign internship of youth as a key to professional career” we meet the expectations of our students, school and the local society.The Janów district is situated in the south east Poland. It is mainly an agricultural region. We wish to help the graduates of our school to adapt to the changing labor market. We want them to obtain knowledge and skills necessary to become more competitive and successful, in order to be employed in a prosperous company.As a place of internship we have chosen Ireland. The main reason was the expectations of our students. Most of the students in ZST in Janów Lubelski (over 90%) choose English as an obligatory foreign language in their A-levels.An essential factor is also the cooperation with the Partner of Infinity Business College. We have chosen this organization from among many others for several reasons:• It has the experience in organizing internship for students from many European Countries• It is able to provide a good quality internship• The apprentices receive documentation, including certificatesWe have planned the following activities:• To realize a preparatory visit. It has a crucial role to work out and prepare the project in its final, practical aspect. We will sign the partnership agreement.• Informational meetings “Safety and risk prevention” will be held in or school, with the attendance of the police officer and EHS experts.• Pedagogical preparation (10 hours) Workshops ( subject: separation with the family, fear of staying abroad)• Cultural preparation (30 hours)• Language preparation (September 2016 – June 2017, group work, 120 hours)The program will be held in ZST in Janów Lubelski, in order to make it more convenient for the students. At the classes we are planning to use Erasmus + Online Language Support. The knowledge acquired in the classes described above as a preparation for the internship will help our students to function in a foreign language environment and a foreign culture.Foreign internship (5 weeks)• Good quality Internship – adequate to the needs of our students, sharing the tasks and duties adequate to our students’ qualifications and aim of the training, in companies adequate to the professional profile of the apprentices.• Appropriate support during the internship, both on the basis of merit and practical, through monitoring the course of internship• Language support, in particular take into account professional language• Providing a program on culture of the country (at weekends)We will try to select the methods of publishing the results in order to make it possible for many people to consider it as attractive propositions and to use them.• Blogging by students and the counselor (we will use facebook and Youtube)• Publishing articles in the local press• Irish Culture Day under the European Day of Languages• Organizing photo exhibition in Janowski Ośrodek Kultury• Conferences including participants of local society and the representatives of local entrepreneursIn our work we will use EUROPASS CV, EUROPASS MOBILITY, ECVET, OLS.Through this Project we expect to achieve the following results:Students:1. New professional skills. raising of professional qualifications and what comes with it becoming more attractive on labor market.2. Rising the level of key competences of young people.3. Rising the awareness of students concerning the need of constant education and professional development to give them more chances on the labor market.4. Raise the level of practical language skill.5. Contact with other Europeans and the other culture will expand their horizons, letting them to appreciate European values.6. Through the adequate methods of sharing students will be able to share acquired knowledge and skills.Counselors:1. Acquisition of knowledge and experience2. Thanks to acquired knowledge and experience mentioned above they will be able to take an active and an effective part in sharing them. They will be able to share them with other teachers in their school and through their attendance in seminaries and meetings with other teachers.School:1. Growth of competence related to coordinating and management of the project.2. Modernization of education programs and their adaptation for the labor market.3. Growth of ability to constantly adapt vocational education to changing needs and requirements of contemporary labour market in the area of the European Union, and a result of it improvement of the European education system4. Enhancement of the prestige of our school and its European dimension.Parents and local/regional society:1. Growth of respect and trust of the parents and local society towards the actions of our school.
