Project goal was to implement a five-week practice for chef, waiter-bartender, hotel worker/tourism specialist, meat processor or confectioner professions students from VET schools in different Lithuanian regions. Improve knowledge and practical skills about their profession, gain new knowledge about local (host country) food/beverage preparation and presentation techniques, renewable energy and food sources, hotel and restaurant industry, develop intercultural skills, gain self -confidence, improve their English knowledge and teamwork skills. During 2 years of the project "Practise in Europe" 20 student groups participated in five-week mobilities at 7 organisations: "Hotel Pietre Nere" in Italy, eco-farm "Fattoria Biologica Patrice" in Italy, VET training institutions: "ZBC" in Denmark, "Sandefjord videregående skole" in Norway, "Ester Mosessons gymnasium" in Sweden, "Riga Technical School of Tourism and Creative Industry" in Latvia and "CEFPPA Adren Zeller" in France. Students practice program and its evaluation has been coordinated between host organizations and sending organizations prior to planned mobilities. After students return from the mobility their practice and learning outcomes were recognized at their sending organizations. Aims of the project: 1. Perform 5-week hands-on practice in educational or business organisation; 2. Recognize student practice and it's evaluation done at the hosting institution (after the mobility was performed) in the sending institutions. Implemented project activities: - Students practice in vocational training centers - host partner organizations in Europe. - Students practice in business (hotel, eco-farm) - host partner organizations in Europe. - Students mobility practice acknowledgment in sending institution. Results and Benefits: - 20 completed mobilities in 7 host organizations, where 128 students have performed given tasks in 5 week vocational education practice; - Improved student achievements in following exams and/or competitions; - Smarter, more open and motivated learners; - Affinity in European vocational education; - Easier way to apply credit transfer system for vocational education after project activities were performed, implementation of CEDEFOP recommendations for VET; - Closer relations between participating institutions (HoReCa sector educational institutions and enterprises).
