Praktikum von angehenden ErzieherInnen aus Herrenberg in Finnland
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project is conducted by Hilde-Domin-Schule and Seurakuntaopisto-Church Training Centre in Järvenpää, Finland. Both schools train skilled workers in pedagogics who work in the education and care of children and youths as well as in out-of-school education. A total of 12 students from the vocational school for pedagogics at the Hilde-Domin-School will travel in groups of six in two flows (January to March 2016 and January to March 2017) to Järvenpää. Following an introductory phase of approximately three days at the Finnish partner school the attending students will complete an internship of 5-6 weeks at various child-care-institutions and youth centers in Järvenpää and the surrounding area. They will improve their professional, personal and intercultural competencies, compare the German and Finnish education system and gain a more sophisticated conception of Europe. By conducting measures of public relations they will spread their knowledge among their fellow students, their teachers and other interested persons. For quality assurance we use ECVET based instruments (learning target agreements with descriptions of learning outcomes focused on competencies, determination of units of learning outcomes with a corresponding assessment instrument). The detailed assessment instruments will be developed together with our partners as part of the project (see below). The gained competencies will be documented in the Europass and the participants’ educator diplomas. In the run-up to the students’ internships a small group of four teachers from the vocational school for pedagogics at the Hilde-Domin-School will visit the Finnish partner school for about one week in the autumn of 2015. Together with a small group of teachers from the partner school they will devise a learning agreement on the basis of ECVET principles and instruments: they will describe together the learning outcomes as well as the units of learning outcomes and develop assessment instruments for the realization and assessment of the students’ internships abroad as part of the mobility project, which we apply for. Job shadowing in class, in the institutions (child care institutions, youth centers) as well as presentations of our school for the staff and students of our partner school complement the program. The participants of the project (students and staff) will improve their professional, personal and intercultural competencies and approach the notion of Europe. They’ll improve their foreign language skills (English in case of staff and students; basic knowledge of Finnish in case of the students). They’ll acquire an international view of education and therefore expand their skills. The students will improve their chances on the job market due to their additional competencies as well as the approval in the educator diplomas and the Europass. The quality of the vocational training of educators at the Hilde-Domin-Schule is improved by the project. The staff of the vocational school for pedagogics at the Hilde-Domin-Schule will learn from the experiences of their Finnish partner school concerning the description and assessment of learning outcomes based on competencies. They will grasp the international dimension as well as the notion of Europe which is the basis for the competence-oriented curricula with relation to EQR and DQR. They will use the learning agreements for the development of a school specific training schedule for the vocational training of educators at the Hilde-Domin-Schule, which has currently been demanded from all vocational schools for pedagogics by the ministry of education of Baden Württemberg (as an instrument for implementation of the corresponding regulations by the conference of German cultural ministers). With this project we as a vocational school for pedagogics in Baden Württemberg would like to contribute to the advancement of educational reforms with our own impulses in order to qualify future educators for their pedagogical work even better than they have been so far. The experience from previous mobility projects of our school has shown that we can increase the attraction of the vocational training as an educator at the Hilde-Domin-Schule with this project. The international perspective, which the project adds to the educators’ vocational training at our school, singles out our school and helps to win young motivated persons for the vocational training as an educator and therefore to improve the quality of future educators. It makes a vital contribution to the quality assurance and quality development of the educators’ vocational training at our school.
