Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Specialists agree on the fact that many students choose one or another vocational field for their studies because their WANT to choose it. Annual survey made by the School concerning student adaptation at school has showed that students choose their profession not because of its popularity, but because they want to learn it, to get new skills and competencies, which would then allow students to get a job and have stable income. However, the study also showed that students often break up their studies in the last year of study, because during their practice they recognize that there are too many specialists in the vocational fields they have studied. In addition to labor market conditions and high professional qualification requirements, employers are looking for workers who would be able to adapt, integrate and change together with alteration in society. Much attention is paid to the knowledge of foreign language and personal characteristics such as responsibility, independence, sociability, creativity, ability to work in team. According to rapid developments in the labor market and employers' requirements for a young specialist school seeks to give student opportunity to build up their experience not only in classrooms/premises, but also implementing mobilities in foreign vocational training institutions and enterprises in a real work environment. Mobilities abroad enable students to gain more experience and professional skills and allows better foothold in the Lithuanian labor market. Target group of the project are: vocational teachers and students of 4 vocational fields- floristic, hairdressing, dressmaking/pattern making and interior decoration. Project Duration - 24 months. To stimulate students' interest in their profession and to improve the image of florists' dressmakers' / pattern makers', hairdressers' and interior decorators' vocational fields. 4. To reduce the number of students who leave the school without education. During the project, 9 vocational teachers and 28 students will participate in project mobilities. Students will carry out their assigned tasks while working full-time, five days a week, which will be coordinated in advance between the home and host institutions, depending on the training program of project participants; teachers will not only observe theoretical and practical lessons, but also take part in discussions with representatives of the host schools and their social partners- enterprises and firms on teaching process, students' motivation, methods how to increase the motivation etc. At the end of placements experience gained by teachers and students will be presented to the school community, students will demonstrate their practical results of completed tasks. Feedback on the project results will be posted on the school website and school's social account on Facebook. 3 week- mobilities of students will be credited as continuous practice, staff mobilities will be recognized as qualification period abroad. In addition, implemented mobilities will have direct impact on students' and teachers' personal development, because their knowledge and skills will be expanded and intercultural awareness will be achieved. During mobilities students and teachers will improve foreign language skills as well and they will learn to adapt to the new working environment. This will contribute to the meeting of their linguistic competence needs.
