Project PractiGo Mobility The project is based on our experience as a tour operator, working alongside many youths from Germany who would like to experience a vocational stay abroad however they are not in the position to be able to finance these independently. We know how important it is in today’s labour market to know at least one foreign language as well as having had work experience abroad. The PractiGo Mobility projects in Spain and in Ireland are there to give the youth with low income the opportunity to gain work experience abroad as well as a better qualification for the German labour market. The international understanding between Spain/Ireland and Germany will also benefit from the project. We are looking for forty motivated participants, young adults living in Germany with European or Swiss nationality. This programme is aimed primarily at students or apprentices with limited financial resources. The participants should be aged between 17 and 25 years old. A certified A2 Spanish level or very good English language skills are required as well as an interest in foreign cultures and lifestyle. The project consists of two separate sections. The first being a course in which the participants will improve their Spanish/English language skills and the second an internship in a field of their choice, in a Spanish or Irish company. At the beginning and at the end of the language course, a test will take place to see how the participants have improved. We anticipate an improvement in at least one language level.The language course is there to help the participants prepare themselves for the internship in an international company. They must apply in practice what they have learnt during their language course. At the end of the programme, all participants will travel back to Germany with good references for the German labour market, work experience abroad and newly gained qualifications. In the long term, this project will also encourage other cultures and customs to have a better understanding towards others. The project implementation and supervision is conducted by PractiGo GmbH in Germany, PractiGo Idiomas S.L. and Cesur (Centro Superior de Formación Europa Sur) in Spain and INI Intern-National Ireland Ltd in Ireland.
