Practicas Erasmus+ para estudiantes de Grados Medios del CPIFP Bajo Aragón
Date du début: 30 sept. 2015, Date de fin: 29 sept. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

CPIFP Bajo Aragón, by means of this Students and Teachers Mobility Project for learning reasons, has improved its educative offer providing formative training in EU companies, more specifically in Londonderry (United Kingdom), Bayona and Lavelanet (France). The center has been offering Erasmus training period to our students in Advanced-level VET courses for many years, since 2007, and it has been our intention to consolidate this training opportunity to Intermediate-level students too making use of Erasmus+ grants both for students and teachers in vocational training, since we only have one year of experience in this kind of mobilities. The 2015 Erasmus+ official announcement in this type of grants has provided us with useful learning in the management of these projects. To sum up, we have carried out training mobilities in companies for a period of around one month with 11 students in total, 5 of them in Londonderry, 3 in Bayona and 3 in Lavelanet. They are students of Intermediate VET courses in the technical fields of Cars Maintenance, Electrical Installations, IT Networks and Nursery. The students from Business Administration have not been able to have access to these grants because these students have been offered training mobilities by means of a Consortium. Due to the characteristics of the partners in our welcoming countries, Bayona’s partner, who belongs to a VET-friend-school, has taken in students from Car Maintenance. Lavelanet partner, another VET-friend-school, has taken in students from Electrical Installations. Londonderry’s partner, who is an intermediary partner, has taken in our students from IT Networks. We have also carried out 4 training stays for our teachers, in the modalities of job-shadowing modality and students’ accompaniment. For these stays, we have relied on the collaboration of our two French partners. With these teacher mobilities we have achieved a double aim: on the one hand, to learn from our partners more about Erasmus+ projects management apart from observing how teaching process is done in other countries, and on the other hand, to accompany our students in their journeys to the welcoming countries and companies. Furthermore, we have used a companion teacher in the initial journey of our students to Derry (Northern Ireland, United Kingdom), because for these students it was their first international experience. In the case of the students, this training period has been part of their Training in the Workplace Module, which is compulsory to obtain their VET certificates. The only student who has already certified the Training in the Workplace Module and, therefore, was a postgraduated student, has had a training project similar to the one carried out by the students who have done the Training in the Workplace Module by means of these Erasmus+ grants. With these mobilities, the following has been achieved, both for students and for teachers: - To improve professional skills. - To enhance social skills through integration in multicultural and multilingual working groups. - To advance in the learning of a foreign language, applied to the technical and professional field. - To foster an entrepreneurial spirit. For our teachers, we have also achieved: -To increase our management skills concerning projects and international initiatives. -To increase our tools and didactic resources by comparing other VET systems. In the management of these mobilities, our three partners have been in charge of providing students’ accommodation, their journey to the workplace, the follow-up of the training and the search for companies. CPIFP Bajo Aragón has been in charge of organizing the shortlisting of candidates, their preparation prior to the mobility, their insurance and, of course, the follow-up and assessment which are needed to be properly certified. In order to do this, a shortlisting procedure has been done based on the students’ academic records, their knowledge of the target language and the capability and positive attitude of both students and teachers to carry out the training. Regarding to teachers, we have also appreciated their active participation and involvement in the Erasmus+ project. We have carried out a preparatory period to organize the mobility, to inform the students, teachers and student’s families about the different aspects of the training mobilities. The mobilities have been developed without any incident and any change in the expected plan. During the students training period, the students’ mentors, alongside with the welcoming country’s mentors and the people involved in the project in both countries, have carried out the follow-up of students. In the case of teachers, it has been the coordinator for Erasmus+ in CPIFP Bajo Aragón who has assessed their training. We consider the participation in the project as beneficial for our students and teachers in particular, as well as for the educational community and our social environment in general.
