In a world within an increasingly demanding and competitive labour market, we see the need of giving our vocational trainingstudents the best possible preparation. Thus acceding to aids of this sort is essential for students with economic difficulties andthereby having few chances to develop their professional and linguistic abilities abroad.Our VET mobility project to carry out the training period (traineeship) in companies within the EU, in our case Italy, should provide avery fulfilling experience that will help them to personally grow in an utterly globalized society and spreading so a bigger socialEuropean integration.Our project is part of the VET - vocational Education Training Learners- and is meant to carry out training practice in Italiancompanies (VET Traineeship). It entails one mobility: VET traineeship of the specialty of the Electricity branch.This student is doing the second and final year of the cycle, VET level 2, He/she is usually over 18 and belong to a low incomerange of population.The objectives of the project are:• Carrying out the practical period within the working centres of the module, obtaining the necessary knowledge and and practicefor the qualification• Improving the professional and linguistic competence of the participants• Helping the students to get the actual sense of European citizenship, encouraging the possibilities to live or work anywhere inEurope• Encourage open-mindedness among youngsters. Increased sense of initiative and entrepreneurship. Better awareness of the European project and EU values• Widen their hiring possibilities within the current labour market, getting better formation linking academic knowledge to real workexperience and widening their working scope to the rest of Europe.Our project will be carried out in collaboration with the IIS VOLTERRA ELIA, which will be our intermediary partner. Thetraining practice will take place in Italian companies for five weeks. This partner offers a wide range of services to us before, during and after the mobility, such as the company search, tutoring the student within the mobility, provide Italian tuition to our student, accommodation search, personal aid, solving problem, follow-up to the student after the mobility,etc….The five weeks of the training period are validated as if those had been carried out in Spanish companies, and for this it is necessaryto issue certain documents, such as the agreement between the VET school and the company, the curricular project, weekly file ofthe student, final report of the company tutor (the Europass mobiiltiy), learning agreement, high standards commitment from all the parts involved and a final report of a linguistic assessment.The results and impact of the project could be summed up as follows:• Our student, once the experience is finished, will have assumed a most international dimension to their working expectations,apart from an actual wider linguistic capability, as well as personal fulfillment, which definitely will result in wider chances within thelabour market• He/she will be able to obtain an official Vocational Training Qualification internationally validated at a European level• Besides it gives him/her the possibility to increase his/her chances to be employed abroad, entailing even the chance of companypromotion internationally.• As for the Centre, it provides us with an international projection, making more appealing the election of this school for youngstersand increasing so the number of Vocational Training students. Also it may help to increase the financial aid from various institutionsas an investment in our students.• This should also result in an immediate improvement of our social environment because of providing the labour market with betterquality training generally speaking, and therefore giving the companies hiring these students a wider international projection andso improving their competitiveness.Long term benefits should result in reduction of unemployment rates among the Spanish youth, and increasing number ofcompanies with international projection, higher level of collaboration between European companies of different countries, so thatmore globalization, higher level of competitiveness due to hiring better prepared workers, in terms of language command as well asin terms of personal fulfillment, with an internationally European perspective of the working expectations apart from higher workingpossibilities because of all the said above.
