The project ?Youth civic confrontations? is addressed to the young people between 16-19 years old from our city. This is an original enterprise prepared by the members of ?Instytut Rozwoju Aktywo?ci? This organization bring together people with inspiring ideas who want to enable their younger friends to be an active part of civic community. This project is divided into three important parts: INFORM, CONSULT, CO-DECISION. The main and general objective is to create an active participation in social life among youngsters. We had an experience in dealing with people in their age because we are a group of people from different backgrounds but with strong motivation to build a progressive society. We noticed that it is far more complex point. In many cases young people are insecure about their future so our objective is to help them explore their abilities and encourage them to work on many fields. Participants involved in our project will get a great opportunity to turn their own ideas into an enterprise. We want to encourage them to consciously participate in social life, involvement in youth policy, speak on important issues for their group, take a future in their own hands. Pozna? is a know - how city and has a big undeveloped social capital. We want to take advantage of it and increase it every day with the help of youngsters. The method is based on learning by doing. Our project offer participators a wide variety of trainings, meetings with specialist, leaders in public opinion and local government representatives. We hope that this project injects new energy into young people and stimulate them to be socially engaged. We want to achieve primarily a civic education of young people, putting them on the path of conscious use of civil rights and to encourage to local government activities. Participation can only work if its young people driven. We need to do everything in our power to make them an essential part of our everyday social life in developing city as Pozna?. There is no doubt that we can reach our goal as we plan to engage 100 participants in the project.
