Erasmus Plus (Mobility Project for School Education Staff) is a project whose the main aim is to improve the quality and the attraction of teaching but also raising the workers' qualifications thanks to foreign courses. Moreover, this programme wants to give the participants the possibility to increase their qualifications and language and vocational skills thanks to learning from real specialists and experts in their fields and they can study about innovative methods and techniques of teaching foreign languages and many methods of motivating students and they will be able to learn a foreign language in its natural environment. Additionally, it is the possibility to make international contacts and long-term cooperation with foreign schools and it will influence the increase of prestige of the school between local ones. Gimnazjum im. Bohaterów Walk nad Bzurą 1939r. in Młodzieszyn has proceeded to the project thanks to the teachers' willingness to increase their knowledge and then writing of the Plan of School Development, submitting the Application Form and necessary documents. Six workers have decided to take part in the project (a headmaster, two English teachers, ICT teacher, Physics and Chemistry teacher, a teacher who copes with difficult teenagers and she is PE teacher, too) Except from English teachers, the rest of participants present a low level of English language knowledge but they are going to start learning before going to the United Kingdom. The participation of the headmaster and the teachers in the courses: - will have an influence on the quality and a way of teaching; -will increase students' interests in the culture and traditions of English language countries; - will allow to begin cooperation with the schools from abroad and thanks to it there will be the possibility to organise students' exchanges; - new students' contacts with foreign pupils will give the opportunity to our teenagers to develop their knowledge, have a contact with a real language and understand that being fluent in English is essential in everyday life and to find a well-paid job in Poland; - international cooperation and creating a CLIL class will allow to give the school European Dimension, make an educational offer more attractive, increase its prestige what is demanding in a present decrease in the birth rate; - the citizens will have an opportunity to find out something about the culture of Great Britain and for sure much information will be published on a school website and the teachers who will take part in the courses, they will organize public lessons for other teachers, parents and there will be a meeting for local authorities and citizens where the participants tell about Erasmus Plus, courses and gained experiences.
