Project will be implemented by Grodek nad Dunajcem’s municipality with slovakian partner Lendak’s municipality commune initiated through young people from folk groups. All taken action in the project will be carried out directly by participants in projects.The key of the Project is increasing and broadening the knowledge and skills of 40 participant from Poland and Slovakia in age of 13-30 about the traditions, customs and rituals of both these countries. Intentions of this project are also: increasing level of regional education knowledge, increasing knowledge of the custom, regional traditions of both Polish and Slovak , and its cultivate. This goal stems from the need to cultivate vast vanishing local traditions and educational attitudes among children and young people to actively and continuously transmitting and maintaining traditional rites and customs. Project is to hold the permeability of cultures , mutual relationships and differences. Participants are: young people from Polish group “Roznowska Dolina” and Slovakian folklore group “Kicora” (21 girls, 19 boys)and 4 carers. The project is scheduled to conduct a series of workshops, action about typical tradition of Polish and Slovak in a calendar year. The project will be carried out workshops, action of the customs of Christmas , Easter , “Andrzejki” , associated with the celebration of " Pentecost " and " harvest feast " called traditional harvest festival. The custom, tradition and local rites workshops will be carried out in the form of games, dances, the practical implementation of specific symbols associated with the holiday, away workshops , open-air discussion. Individual workshops are intended to explain the culture, traditions, customs typical for individual of this two countries, excitation of the sense of national identity and local patriotism, building an active and informed civil society and want to continue learning education , appreciation and passed on to future generations. The project participants will gain knowledge about the traditions , culture and customs of the neighbouring countries , which will have influence on further cultivate the traditions and customs and transmission it to future generations. Implementation of the project through the knowledge and skills about the traditions , culture and customs of the participants will have influence: at the local level to develop a desire to cultivate traditions , deepen their knowledge on this subject and the implementation it in everyday life. Realizations of the action having place during the exchange will let for depth familiarity practically and theoretically with the subject of the exchange. Presentation and show of the folklore groups during “Bean harvest” ’s local event provide to a wide audience ( residents , tourists , vacationers ) visual show of customs and rites of different cultures .
