The main purpose of the project is to enable participants to develop their own educational and professional mobility, which will result in new skills and competences acquired in the school in Ostrava. The aim of the project is to create the awareness of the fact that the value of the employee in the modern labour market increases with the development of their knowledge and skills. The project will be undertaken the following activities:-signing a memorandum of understanding (learning agreement, description of units of learning results);-the recruitment of participants (informing students about the project, conducting the competition, analysis of learning outcomes, diagnosis of language skills);- pedagogical and cultural background classes (integration workshops, classes on the history and culture of Bohemia and the Moravian-Silesian Region);- preparation for the trip (insurance of participants, travel arrangements);- implementation of internship (classes in specialized workshops, vocational tours to workplaces, the cultural program implementation);- monitoring of the internship (classroom observations, interviews with participants and teachers, conducting tests to check the mastery of skills);- evaluation of the placement (conducting and analyzing evaluation surveys, analysis of the results of testing learning outcomes);- promoting effects (giving presentations, publishing information about the results of the project on the website, submitting them to various institutions, presentation at the Education Fair and Open Days).The project will be conducted in two parts (part I in the school year 2016/2017 and part II in the school year 2017/2018). Each part of the project will involve a group of 10 third-grade students of the Technical School of Communications educated in the vocations of electronics technician, computer science technician and data communications technician who will participate together with students from Ostrava in specialized classes.The activities, conducted in the partner school, will result in acquiring the following skills:1. In the field of CISCO computer networks: - Construction of wired computer networks, - Configuration of Cisco routers and switches, - Configuration of static and dynamic routing.2. In the field of IP telephony: - Installation and configuration of the SIP server, - SIP and H.323 transmission protocols, - Configuration of the video transmission.3. In the field of fibre optics: - Welding of optical fibers, - The performance of the reference measurement of signal loss using the direct method, - Passporting links,- Measurements of signal loss at single and multiple fibre bends, - Comparison and interpretation of the results of the reference measurements.The project will raise the level of knowledge and competence of students in the areas which our partner specializes in, primarily in the field of installation, configuration and administration of telecommunication networks. The Czech School has a professionally equipped fibre optics workroom and laboratory of network devices. The project participants will acquire new knowledge and practical experience through specialized tasks which will be realized in the fields of electronics, telecommunications and computer science. Participation in the project will enable students to make a more aware choice of career path, make the right decision on continuing education at technical universities (both at home and abroad). The stay in Ostrava will also determine their further development and the start of future career in accordance with their education. In the area of intercultural and intergenerational education the youth will have the opportunity to learn the culture of the Moravskoslesko region and to create attitudes of tolerance and mutual understanding between representatives of the two countries according to the idea of European integration. The added value of the project will be the fact of increasing practical knowledge of English which is the project official language.
