Crime doesn´t know any boundaries. Prospectively this asks for a more intensive border-crossing cooperation to create a more effective and efficient fight against crime. Therefore primary training, study and vocational training in the police and other security connected entities should not only conduct juridical basics and knowledge of the respective national laws but also train police officers and trainees in - intercultural competence, - ethical basics of police forces in Europe, - European law and legislative procedures, - bilateral and regional cooperation of the European Union in the area of safety and security There has to be, in the frame of primary and vocational training, a professionally fast, flexible reaction on a very high leveled European standard to a new border-crossing phenomenom of crime. Therefore it is planned not only to develop common concepts for school shootings or cases of amok but also bilateral law seminars. The training of experts has to include knowledge about the different laws and regulations in the partner countries. Together with all partners new trainings for additional police situations should be developed. These kind of trainings are based on the ethical standards of police behavoiur according to regulations of the European Union. All in all the University of Applied Police Sciences of the Federal State of Brandenburg intends to send 19 participants to Poland and Catalonia. All participants are qualified police officers working as lecturers or vocational trainers. By using bilateral meetings and developing new concepts and trainings an upgrading of intercultural competence is expected for the participants. The guidelines of the University of Applied Police Sciences of the Federal State of Brandenburg for project management are the fundament of the mobility project and will be monitored by the experts of the International Centre. All the primary and vocational trainings should not only suffice the ethical and professional requirements according to European standards but should also use the newest pedagogical standards.
