The project aims at the development of an educational and organizational model for neighbourhood police officers, containing qualification and competences profiles and integrating these contents into the training of the target groups in the partner countries. A special approach is related to the problem of social exclusion of poor people, disadvantaged youth, etc. as well as the examination of training needs in this field. Target groups are all levels of Local Police Officers, Local Councils, Public Administrators, non-profit Welfare Organisations and trainers. Special attention is given to the female police members. Expected results are model training courses for conventional as well as distant learning, a list of qualifications and competences, both available in print and CD-Rom. The impact of the project should be a better handling of problems in urban environment.
