Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Gimnazjum in Pawonków is applying for the ability to take part in project ‘Overcoming obstacles as a way to our success in the future’, within Erasmus+ programme. Our school is a small unit with 200 students taught by 26 teachers. Seven of them (27% staff) are the project participants. Some of the teachers teach two subjects (e.g. foreign language and biology or physical education), that is why their involvement in the project is going to have a considerable effect on the quality of education in the school. Our gimnazjum struggles with many problems which are common in most Polish schools: the differences in knowledge levels, skills and abilities of the same grade students are significant; there are too many students in most classes; the teenagers come from families of different social status and annual income, some of them are provided with welfare benefits. A lot of our students take part in numerous school competitions. Anyway lack of extra-curricular activities is a considerable obstacle in their development which results in frustration. For our school, taking part in Erasmus+ programme is a great chance to improve and extend teachers cooperation on planning and implementation of new teaching ideas, as well as better information flow concerning training courses for teachers. Language courses, which are an integral part of our project, will enable the participants to get better language knowledge and skills. Eventually, it will result in applying these competencies in their everyday work with students. Another goal of our project is to use educational methods which are adjusted to our students needs (including influence of new technologies on everyday life and school life). Our project will also enable us to acquire information on how to better motivate our students to learn foreign languages and get good studying habits which will encourage them to continual work. Taking part in the project will help both teachers and students to increase their awareness and inner needs to develop their attitudes, world views, cultural and social competencies. Last but not least is the goal to promote the value of education among our local small society with its 6 000 inhabitants. The main goals of the project focus on:1. Recruiting participants, creating the project team and choosing the leader of the project, formulating the goals, the schedule, the budget , the ways of control and evaluation of the project particular parts and activities and, finally, verification of the quality of the acquired goals.2. Preparing participants of the project to methodical training and English language training abroad, which will take form of numerous analyses ( our school position in final exams and school ranks)- educational and methodical preparation,- starting cooperation with the company that offers support in logistic problems such as accommodation, transport, insurance and contact with institutions conducting courses.3. Taking part in special language and methodology courses in Ireland, Malta and Germany, developing skills that help us promote our school, get new relations with other participants and find potential partners from abroad because our school still hasn't got one and we are willing to cooperate with some European schools in the near future.4. Implementing new-known methods to our school education system and making it more adjusted to students needs and the needs created by the environment in which our students live and function. It will also help to put our school in the European context. Our priorities are both training all the teachers and informing the local authorities about the results of our work. 5. Evaluation and multiplying good practice and the effects of our project in the local society. Here are some of the expected results:- improvement of linguistic competence of the project direct and indirect participants (like students and other teachers);- increase in usage of new technologies in the teaching process;- using active training methods more often;- improving social, cultural and civic competences among the whole school community;- making the cooperation and relations between our school teachers better;- boost of involvement in school life;- reducing the effects of burnout;- increase in the number of teachers who take advantage of different training and educational mobility options;- opening and operating the School European Club;- promotion of the Europass tools and European educational portals;- finding potential school partners abroad;- improving the management of the domestic and international projects;- putting our school in a new European framework;- making our school more prestigious in the region.Acquired effects will be long lasting and change permanently the quality of our school work.
