Within the project "Improving the quality of teaching academic subjects through implementing innovative ICT tools in a vocatational school in the international context", whose main objective is to improve teaching standards in the teaching process, 16 teachers of academic subjects of Zespół Szkół Nr1 in Dzierżoniów will take part in professional mobilities. During the mobilities they will participate in the international specialist training in Portugal that will help improve and speed up their didactic workshop. In vocational education a lot of attention is paid to vocational training, which makes teachers of general education often feel marginalized in the learning process. It often results in a decline in students' motivation to learn general subjects. However, our students at the end of the school have to take their final examination in general subjects like Polish, Mathematics, Foreign Languages and other subjects out of a number of general education. It is therefore a very important factor that will affect the greater involvement of secondary vocational education students is to improve the competence of teachers by encouraging them to use modern computer tools during their lessons. Teachers will participate in two courses titled "European sharing views - making sense of the world thorugh the Media" (one 4 paticipants' group) and "ICT and Free Web Tools in Education: another way to teach and to learn" (three 4participants' groups). During the training, the teachers will learn about innovative techniques of teaching their subjects, utilizing Internet education platforms, free tools, learn to create multimedia presentations, the use of applications such as, among others, Prezi, Webquest, Moodle, APPs, etc. Thorugh participation in training, which will present different European attitudes with use of multimedia the teachers will be able to open up to the EU's problems and provide them with a sense of cultural diversity and unity at the same time. They will also increase their language skills, as the communication in the partner country will be conducted entirely in English. All this will significantly improve the level of education in our school. Improving language proficiency of the teaching staff will also contribute to their greater involvement in realization of international projects carried out by the school, and establishing contacts during the training as well as buliding up and facilitating partnerships whose main aim will be future exchange of experiences and good practices, as well as joint implementation of large-scale educational initiatives.In the preparatory phase the details of the project will be developed, the responsibilities among the paticipants will be shared and work schedule will be established. The beginning of the project will be announced with the means of the school website, Facebook and information boards in the hallways of school. We will also send information about the project to other interested institutions. The participants also will take measures to prepare themselves in substantive, linguistic and cultural fields. Teachers will also conduct an analysis of the existing teaching methods, will complement the knowledge of the target country and will take part in language preparation organized by the school. The project coordinator will also prepare the logistics of individual trips.During the visits, participants will gather documentation of their mobility and will perpare a report about the course (using pre-prepared questionnaires) and also will establish contacts with teachers from other countries to exchange experiences and good practices and build potential partnerships for projects in the future. At the end of each training, participants will receive a certificate of completing the course and the documents Eurpass Mobility and the Europass CV. The coordinator will prepare a report on the implementation of the mobilities and will present it on the meeting of the teaching staff at school and all members of the project team will take an active part in the implementation of acquired skills and knowledge in the teaching process of the school.As a part of the dissemination of project results briefings and lessons for interested teachers from our school and other schoolswill be organized. Then the report summarizing the project eill be prpared. It will be presented to the board of pedagogical staff and published on the school website. A conference summarizing the project with the participation od all intersted paries will be organized.The innitiative will result in the significant improvement in the quality of education in the field of general education in our institution. It will also help to build a network of contacts for the implementation of many valuable projects in the future.Teachers will improve their ICT skills and break the barrier of reluctance to participate in international initiatives, who will be more likely to engage in cooperation with foreign schools.
