Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 30 juin 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Ribalta High School aims for a high-quality education in the European framework of Secundary Education , Sixth Form and Vocational Training. Looking for an excellence in education we have designed our Project called “ The plurilingual experience in Ribalta High School”. The main objective of our Project is to be trained in CLIL methodology and improve the linguistic competence of all the teachers involved in the Project. This project would be framed in the EU development and it is closely linked to highly important aspects of education such as reducing drop outs and improving the acquisition of basic competences. The main goal of this Project is to promote the mobility of the staff to attend specific courses in The United Kingdom. The school has been involved in projects that enable our teachers and students to travel abroad and broaden their minds. We have taken part in two Comenius projects: “Environmental Aviation Science Project” and “The Impact of water on our lives” and the students who are following a vocational program can take part in the FCT Europe since 2009-10 up to nowadays. Our school has been actively implied in the E-Twinning Project by attending seminars and study visits. We are also carrying out a Project on Valencian ball. We would like to increase the number of projects in eTwinning and that is the reason why some of the teachers have already registered in the latest course offered by the MEC. In 2013 we set up a plurilingual program which has amongst their objectives to help the pupils develop an adequate command of both spoken and written English, Spanish and Valencian throughout their education. We know that it is an ambitious program and it needs time for its implementation and consolidation but we are totally convinced of the benefits it is going to bring about. There are eleven teachers involved in the plurilingual program. There are both content and language teachers working together so that this program succeeds. This group of teachers meet once a week because we know it is highly important to be engaged in the construction of a shared visión of CLIL. The teachers selected to participate in the Project applied will be teachers who are already involved in the plurilingual program , which means that they have at least a level B2 in English. The impact of this Project on the teaching community will be highly beneficial. The teachers who will be given the opportunity to attend a course in UK will acquire expertise and fresh ideas for teaching subjects , they will improve their level of English and they will establish relationships and networks with colleagues all over Europe. We will share all the experiences with the rest of teachers and the parents as it is important to bear in mind that they can encourage their children to learn another language and to be open-minded. One of the most important stages of our project will be its evaluation and the impact it may have academically and socially. This evaluation will help us design further steps of the project. We will use the applications of Web 2.0 to keep in touch and we will collaborate with the CEFIRE to set up a work team whose main objective will be to spread the materials and the training received. Although the project is supposed to last for one year, we will continue working with it and we will try to increase the number of teachers involved ,not only from our school but also from European schools with whom we will have already established links. We are commited to spread out the results of the experiences and materials from the courses. We will do this by publishing the results of the project in the WEB 2.0, in google site http://sites.google.com/site/diadelaciencia and in the blog http://diadelacienciaribalta.blogspot.com.es This will be all linked to the school webpage http://iesribalta.edu.gva.es All in all we are absolutely sure that this Project is going to be an enrichening experience for all of us and also for the teaching community in our area.
