This project was initiated and implemeted by the Croatian Youth Network and it focused on brininging together a large amount of young people, mostly members of youth organizations. Its two key acitvities were implemented in Zagreb, Croatia in November 2011 and March 2012. The goal of the project was to contribute to a more quality systems of youth participation in decision-making, as well as contribute to better life conditions of young people in Croatia. More specific aims were: to put youth policy on political and publuc agenda as a relevant topic in the pre-election period; to evaluate and discuss the present state of affairs in youth policy and the cooperation with different stakeholders on the national and European levels; to identify and analyse the main challenges in youth policy in the post-EU accession period; to initiate a debate on crucial measures in the fight against youth unemployment and social exclusion. The two main activities included a national youth meeting with heads of political parties in the pre-election period, and a youth meeting with representatives of political parties youth wings, youth experts and youth workers in the post-election period. On the main events, we engaged experts in youth policy and heads of political parties in a wide debate on the topics of institutional framework of youth policy, youth participation and youth uneployment, and we affirmed a positive and affirmative public discours on youth-related issues. The financial allocation for this project was 4,528.62 Euros
