Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

A group for Foreign Language Learning in the Department of the Loir-et-Cher was created in 2015 under the impulse of both the Directress of the Inspection in the Loir et Cher, responsable for Foreign language Learning on an Academic level, and the newly named Inspectress to the mission of foreign languages in the department. According to the observations on the state of Foreign Language teaching in the department, a certain number of weaknesses were revealed - in the teaching methods, the didactics involved, the lack of diversity in the Foreign Languages proposed in Primary schools, and the small number of international projects put into place. The ERASMUS + project was developed to answer these needs:For the Foreign Language teaching and the didactics: linguistic and didactic training in German and English speaking countries to allow teachers to develop their linguistic skills and comprehend new and innovative teaching techniques. For the diversity of the types of languages: the new chart for Foreign Languages in the department will renew with the teaching of German in Primary schools, a training session is a strong asset for willing teachers.Pour the implication in international projects, knowing about ERASMUS + and E-TWINNING will make it easier for schools and children to be involved on an international level.A voluntarist piloting appeared to be necessary in order to develop an efficient policy for Foreign Language Learning. Inspectors and Principals of Middle Schools will work in a dynamic tandem to elaborate and institute new actions between primary and secondary levels.NUMBER AND PROFILE OF THE PARTICIPANTS per action:Mobility 1: 21 participants:9 Pedagogical counsellors12 teachers and teacher trainers from 8 different schoolsContent : 2 weeks of linguistic and didactic training in LondonMobility 2 and 4: 10 participants:6 territorial Inspectors form the local authorities of Contres, Romorantin, Blois 2, Onzain and the assistant Inspector to the Directress of the department4 Principals from the Middle Schools of Selles-sur-Cher (local authority of Contres), Salbris (local authority of Romorantin), Mer (local authority of Blois 2) and Onzain (local authority of Onzain).Content: 1 week in Oxford, England, 1 week in Malaga, Spain.Comprehension of the foreign educational system, visits in different schools, evaluation of different schools and staff members, the links between primary and secondary schools.Mobility 3: 6 participants, teachers in different schools for the promotion of German Content: 2 weeks of linguistic and didactic training in Berlin, GermanyMETHODOLOGYThe project will be led by the pedagogical counsellor and the Inpectress with the Mission of Foreign Language teaching in the department.Meetings before and after each mobility will help to give the guidelines and qualification of the project, to set or reset the objectives according to the needs and organize the spreading of new and innovative methods (in schools/local authorities/the department).IMPACT AND EXPECTED RESULTSTeachers should be more at ease with the foreign language, more apt to teach in a more efficient way (helping the children to obtain the A1 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages – CEFRL), being in a situation to share their skills according to their function and their job (teachers -> schools, teacher trainers ->schools, ESPE (teacher training school)->future teachers in training, pedagogical counsellors -> teachers in their classes, and as a technical advisor to thier Inspector. We should expect to have better results in the classes in obtaining the A1 level of the CEFRL.The number of International projects put into place should go up especially ERASMUS + , key 1 and key 2.The Territorial Inspectors in tandem with the Principals should put more Foreign language projects into place, defined by the programs determined by the primary and secondary school councils.More workshops and training sessions should be created for linked primary-secondary projects. The teachers for both levels will be encouraged to work together to determine the progressivity of the common apprenticeship of a Foreign language (including mixed primary/secondary mobilities).
