PLAN DE POTENCIACIÓN DE COMPETENCIAS LINGÜÍSTICAS Y SOCIALES

-Context: Non-bilingual Secondary and High school with almost 1000 students with a medium/low socioeconomic status. Our school has taken part in several Comenius European projects and at the moment we are also taking part in two Erasmus+ KA2. Our school has always had a tendency to its internationalization and to the English language empowerment. - Objectives: * Improve English language skills of teachers, office staff and students. * Develop the knowledge of English social and cultural aspects by the English teachers. * Create relationships with teachers from other countries for the projects to come. * Know AICLE/CLIL methodology in order to be applied from the different subjects, practicing diversity outreach and encouraging students motivation. -Activities: * Training courses in United Kingdom during the years 2013-2014 and 2014-2015 -Participants: *During the years 2013-2014, fifteen people participated in the training courses with these profiles: Five English teachers. Four Science teachers. One Technology teacher. One P.E. teacher. One Mathematics teacher. One Music teacher. Two office staff colleagues. *During the years 2013-2014, nine people participated in the training courses with these profiles: One English teacher. One Science teacher. One Technology teacher. Two Mathematics teachers. Four Geography and History teachers. -Results: CLIL activities and different materials have been made with the students from every matter. The project has also paid videos and theatre activities celebrating Shakespeare anniversary and also one “Job shadowing” of a Technology teacher in Germany.
