The project concerns the implementation of Dalton education as a part of the kindergarten work, which is an alternative way of forming creative, individualized education. The development of interest in Dalton education in Poland results from a specific organization ofthe education processoriented on child and its individual needs and capabilities. The world around us is changing very rapidly, therefore modern educators are also seeking ever new, more effective measures and tools to work with children. Education in accordance with Dalton plan is one of the proposals, which allows teacher to create the conditions of development for child through the organization of educational space, concentration on child, individualization of the education interplays and ensuring the chance for independence of child. The main goal of the project is to enrich the knowledge and skills by the teachers of our kindergarten to implement properly and effectively this way of children education and at the same time improving the work quality of our institution and promoting good educational practices in our country. The mobility scheduled in the project are to enrich the knowledge and skills and practical preparation of teachers. There are 8 job shadowing mobility in the project. Our teachers who have a basic knowledge within a scope of pedagogy of Dalton plan in preschool education will participate in the mobility. Observation of the teacher’s work will take place in two Dutch schools with rich educational achievements in the field of Dalton’s plan. These schools are certified Dalton schools and they are recommended by Dutch foundation Dalton International. We expect that as a result of planned activities, the teachers of our kindergarten will work in all the branches in accordance with the rules of Dalton plan and the pupils will achieve a high level of independence, responsibility, cooperation skills with partner as well as awareness of their own education. To make our scheduled activities stable and permanent, we plan to include parents, non-pedagogical staff and teachers of elementary school where the majority of our graduates go to continue their education. Obtaining a certificate of Dalton kindergarten will be the confirmation of implemented changes, and hence the concentration and unification of kindergarten’s activities around the priorities of Dalton plan: independence, responsibility, cooperation, individualization, which are part of the educational policy of our country promoted in recent years. The project includes also the activities concerning the promotion of project’s results, what will enable to interest the educational institutions from the area of our city in this innovative education.To contact our partners, we will use modern information technology, which will allow the teachers to enrich the skills in this field. Except mobility of teachers, we are also planning, within the framework of the project, contacts of our pupils on Skype with the aim of meeting culture and tradition of our Dutch partners. The cooperation within the framework of the project will also help to improve English language skills.
