Pictorius goes Europe
Date du début: 1 juin 2016, Date de fin: 31 mai 2018 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The project “Pictorius goes Europe” aims at continuing and intensifying the cooperation between the Pictorius-Berufskolleg Coesfeld (PBK) and its partners in France and in the Netherlands and constitutes the further development of the preceding bi-annual Erasmus + application which was made in the year 2014. The focus of this project is on the arrangement of internships of students of the full-time courses design as well as of information technology in the Netherlands and in France within a timeframe of six and weeks respectively. In the long term, however, the expansion of mobilities for students of further fields of education is provided. Possible developments and modifications which are not yet foreseeable in detail can thus be implemented if applicable. The longstanding and successful cooperation with the European partners as well as the growing positive feedback on the part of the students have motivated the applicant institution to apply for a further project support within the framework of Erasmus+ in order to reinforce and to optimise the the relationship. The project outlined here includes various objects. On the one hand, the practical implementation of skills within a real work environment constitutes one relevant aim. On the other hand, it is intended to provide the participants an insight into work processes and structures of a foreign company. Within the framework of the professional obligatory internship seven or six weeks internships that suit the participants’ training contents are carried out in well-selected companies in the Netherlands and in France. On top of that, working in a foreign country can broaden the personal horizon to a high extent and thus enriches and strengthens the students’ personality with new impressions and experiences. Moreover, an internship abroad enhances the chances to consider workplaces outside one’s own country in the future. Within the course of the French-German project a further focus of work has been developed. During the preparatory intercultural week in Paris the design of a graphical guidance system in the self-study center of the partner school “Lycée Gustave Eiffel” constituted a very valuable experience for both sides. Due to the positive results and response similar projects will be carried out in both French partner schools. Thus, German students are able to leave their marks in the European neighbouring country. The promotion of flexibility and mobility of every single participant is to be considered as an essential contribution to the sustainability of a Europe growing closer together. Against the background of the current political situation this aspect grows in importance. The project provides for in total 20 participants within two seven week flows and two six week flows.
