The aim of the gomedis Physio Akademy is a training of self-confident, reflective physiotherapists who have a large fund of practical experience in handling and treatment of and with people with different cultures. For this purpose the gomedis Physio Academy effort to give every student and employee an international perspective. Therefore basic knowledge is given in the learning unit “people of foreign cultures”. The main objective of the learning mobility is to enable the less wealthy students going abroad (7 weeks internship).Planned are visits to Spain, later Italy, Norway, France, Sweden, Turkey. There will be no country or region specific priorities.The criterias for a partnership are quality of the establishment, the compability of the curriculum and the expected assistance for the students in the foreign institution. The contact with the foreign physiotherapeutic centers promotes employment with international standards of quality and constitutes a permanent incentive to improve in teaching and management.With regard to the group should be promoted as the first target group in particular, the students of the three-year rule training. The stay abroad should be so conducted in the second and third internship application, means in 5th or 6th semester. Also staying abroad for the course of further investigations for masseurs and medical lifeguards should be encouraged. They need to go after their supplementary examination, because this further examination takes place part time at the weekend. A parallel implementation is for organizational reasons not possible.The mobility of our teachers should also be encouraged by means of support from the ERASMUS-PLUS program, as well as through the use of own school funds. The teaching staff mobility is part of the strategy of personnel Development of the gomedis Physio Academy and plays an important role in the training of intercultural competences of staff and should be reinforced in the future, so that can happen active participation in the development of international processes at all levels.In all our cooperation projects quality aspects are most important, so does in future with international cooperation projects. That includes both to ensure the Quality of the establishment as well as the implementation of the single cooperation measure. Each potential new project is examined in terms of its benefits for the target groups, the professional and qualitative fit of the Partner institution as well as the organizational processes. This is done to ensure a high qualitative standard for the implementation of cooperation.All cooperation projects will be written out in a transparent process.The conditions of participation, selection criteria and application procedures will be clearly communicated. For administrative and organizational issues are coordinators at the gomedis Physio Academy and the destination available.The gomedis Physio academy sees the participation in the Erasmus PLUS program as part of their own modernization and internationalization strategy. Participation in international cooperation projects increases the quality of education through the international experiences of the students and the teachers. Through the participation in international projects and the increased efforts to quality in teaching and in taking care of the students can gomedis train more physiotherapists and lead them a successful conclusion.Strengthening the quality of our training is significantly advanced through international cooperation and exchange. For the successful training to a self-confident and reflective physiotherapist is the acquisition of relevant skills significantly, such as intercultural sensitivity, creative problem solving, communication and cooperation skills and could contribute to the quality of education.The promotion of cross-border cooperation also leads us to important impulses for the strategic and organizational development of our Academy in the international context.
