PDT is a bilateral project involving two youth organizations (Young Folks LV for Latvia and the Relay Brenne Youth Initiative for France) and an association working on photography, Human Nature. The RBIJ works in a rural area which needs a cultural mixing and some intercultural dialogue in order to open minds of the inhabitants and change their points of view about the society. Young Folks works more in the city of Riga, in a non-formal learning space which allow each people to increase some skills and improve his employability. Both groups have already worked in their countries on photography and they would like to share some technics and increase their passion with people. So the exchange's theme will be the photography. The aims of the exchange will be the acquisition of photographical technics, increase creativity and meet local inhabitants thanks to photography. Each group is composed of eight people, mostly girls, accompanied by two youth workers. During this exchange, which will set up in France in August 2015, young people will learn to know eachother and know their countries differencies, their will take part in some photography activities will discover and visiting the place, and meet the local population. A second part of the project will consist in going to Latvia with the same French group and meet the same group of Latvian in 2016, a year later. Indeed, we would like to give the opportunity to the french girls travel to Riga and to carry on the work together. A larger-scale production with photography and poetry should be produced. If the project runs, we would like to carry on the exchange between our two organisation though the European Voluntary Service. The objectives of this project are acquiring knowledge, skills and competences, learning tolerance, and also allowing the mobility of young people in Europe and being aware of European citizenship. Youth are taking part into the building of the project, allowing them to take responsibility and make them independent in creating their leisure, their free time. As for the long-term benefits, the aim of the exchange is to allow RBIJ to be a reference in the organization of European exchanges in its area, and to guide other organizations to set up such a project.
