Rechercher des projets européens

Pflege ohne Grenzen
Date du début: 1 juin 2015, Date de fin: 31 mai 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The idea for this project, as well as the early interactions on its behalf, grew from the already fruitful relationship of Kempten and its sister city, Silgo. The opportunity for nursing apprentices to experience a five-week stay and internship within the local hospital of Sligo has a very special meaning. Firstly, it provides new life and vitality to the longstanding partnership between these cities, engaging a younger generation. Many of the metaphorical walls in Europe are crumbling, and a unique opportunity has arisen in its wake: A chance for renewal, rebirth, and sustainable economic growth. On the other hand, it lays the groundwork for collaboration between organizations, companies, and individuals throughout Europe, and points towards the myriad of possibilities laid before each individual, waiting to be seized. The employees of the Kempten Nursing School and the St. Angela´s College have partnered, with both teams very dedicated, having already engaged in mutual visits, showing the utmost of support and commitment. The project’s goals are multifaceted: to improve the participants’ view towards the chosen profession, to highlight the various opportunities for development, as well as create awareness to the mobility within the profession in Europe. The requisite skills for practical nursing will evolve through the interaction with Irish nurses. A further goal is the active analysis of the political development within the healthcare professions across Europe, as well as the necessary discussions, which are yet to be undertaken in Germany. The project’s participants will naturally improve on their linguistic skills and strengthen their self-confidence. To have worked in a foreign country, participated in lecture lesson, engaged with new training, and mastered new techniques and approaches, this provides further motivation. This burgeoning self-awareness, which shows the participants that they are European citizens, and they can integrate this experience into their personal future plans. This positive experience and open-minded, yet unified sense of European thought, will be passed on to others.
