Période de formation en entreprise en Suède.
Date du début: 1 juin 2014, Date de fin: 31 mai 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The vocational school Yser, which opened more than half a century ago, was at the beginning only devoted to industrial subjects. Nowadays it is labelled “Métier du Bois” and has added tertiary subjects. There are about 540 students and 60 teachers inside its walls. Since 2009, Yser has been developing European partnership ( Europro and Tandem projects with Germany) and recently with Sweden. In March 2013 Yser received 7 students from the Swedish vocational school Hahrska, enrolled in a Leonardo Da Vinci project. English is the two partners’ common language target. In November 2013, thanks to the regional council, which greatly financed our trip, 14 students in their second year of professional baccalaureate ( 5 boys in joinery, 3 boys and 1 girl in painting, 3 girls in marketing and 1 boy and one girl in sales) were selected thanks to their reliability and motivation. They spent 5 days in the vocational school Hahrska with 6 teachers representing the different subjects (1 in joinery, 1 in painting, 1 in sales and 3 in English. The purpose of this journey was to prepare their future certificated placement in enterprises. This project has to allow students to perform their last placement in a Swedish professional structures corresponding to their training. Numerous contacts have already been established during this period called November “preparatory week”, with Swedish teachers – in order to target the potential enterprises- and with the interlocutors of different enterprises. Our Swedish contacts have been working hard since then to achieve this project.. They have to link us with the enterprises and to manage the logistics there (accommodation, food and means of transport…..) As far as we are concerned, professional English and intercultural lessons have already been given since September 2013 by two-teacher teams (an English one and a professional one). Culture, geography, history and the working conditions in Sweden are taught during these extra lessons. Thanks to this training the students are now aware of the issues of this project which give them the opportunity to reach a great number of objectives written in the referential document, in order to allow an exhaustive comparison between the different ways of working in our respective countries. During the preparatory week, Swedish and French teachers have adapted the professional report book- translated into English and Swedish- to the Swedish economic realities. We are convinced that this long-term project will be a springboard for our students who are going to get a better English language skill, a distancing concerning their ways of working, open-mindedness and an essential maturity for their future at school, at work or in society. Families are regularly informed by mails or meetings which have allowed them to understand the ambitions of this programme. In practical terms, on March 9th 2015, the Students from Yser school with Four teachers, (one English teacher and one teacher of each professional subject) and Mr Edler the Yser school Headmaster will fly to Sweden. The professional teachers will assure the students ’placements in their respective enterprises. This team is due to fly back in the middle of the first week. The English teachers, in turn, will supervise the French students during their four weeks. The evaluations will take place during the last week that’s why the 3 professional teachers and an English one are due back to Sweden. Then everybody will go home at the end of the fourth week. Concerning the accommodation, two solutions are conceivable: flats in hotel or far more interesting, host families. Our Swedish partner is looking for some potential ones. At the end of these four weeks, a Europass and the certificative placement diploma will be validated by the teachers of each professional subject and the person in charge of the enterprise. This experience will bring an undeniable prestige on the employment market thanks to a double stock of knowledge, professional and language, and moreover personal blossoming, relocation capacity and innovative techniques. Therefore the impact looks obvious concerning the applicants’ employability thanks to a European CV with considerable advantages.
