"Peers to Peers" is a project intended for youth workers working with young people with less opportunities, as well as for youth workers who run EVS project and want to engage young people from less privileged. To participate in the project we invited experienced sending organizations, host and coordinating EVS projects as well as organizations that are just going to start their work with the Erasmus+ Programme, EVS and youth with less opportunities. The training will involve 29 youth workers from 28 organizations from ten EU countries (Croatia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Romania, Czech Republic and Poland) and 3 org. from Turkey. Our proposed training course will allow the youth workers to understand and harmonize the concept of youth with less opportunities; - understand the educational dimension of EVS projects; - know the various methods of working with young people with less opportunities; - harmonize and create a standard system of support for volunteers with opportunities in EVS projects; - build and strengthen partnerships between sending, receiving, coordinating organizations and volunteers; - create a safe and friendly learning environment for young people with less opportunities; - know the methods of motivating volunteers from less-privileged; - learn about the practical aspects of the project; - create a platform for the exchange of experiences; - summing up 20 years of EVS in Europe. Our proposed project is consistent with the objectives of the Erasmus+ Programme, in particular with the objectives of Action 1 "Learning Mobility of Individuals" - increases the professional competence of youth workers; - allow the youth workers to understand the broader youth education system in different countries; - increases the ability to create change in terms of modernization and openness to the international community and learning centers; - improving the quality of the work and efforts of volunteers; - increase the understanding of social, linguistic and cultural sensitivity and improves on it; - support and promote activities in the field of mobility of persons; - provide opportunities for professional development; - increases the ability to act at EU level; - enhance cooperation with partners from other countries; - improving the quality of the preparation, implementation, monitoring and follow-up of international projects; - improve working methods for the volunteers. The methods that we predicted during the training course will help us to achieve the goals are as following: - integration games, brainstorming, exchange of experience, lecture with elements of talks, exchange ideas, audiovisual method, the method of the poster, experiment, theatrical method, case study and discussion . The long term results that we expect are: - strengthen the professional capacity of youth workers, - increasing the number of EVS projects in 10 UE countries and in Turkey involving young people in their activities from less-privileged, - raising awareness about the other countries involved in the project; - improving the quality of projects in organizations involved in the training course, as well as cooperating with it,- increasing the mobility of people from less-privileged and their participation in non-formal education, - increasing participation of young people from less-privileged, - strengthening cooperation at the level of the EU and Turkey. We have planned the continuation and monitoring of project results up to 12 months after completion of the project. As a continuation of the projects we foresee the development of common EVS projects involving young people with fewer opportunities as well as job shadowing projects in the partner organizations. This project is not just a training offer for other organizations, as was sugested in the evaluation of our application of February, 2016. The fact that the project is not approved implies that, for a new application, the partners have to find new consensual date. As you know, organizations are planning their agendas with big advancement and this makes that some are no longer capable of keep partnership for P2P. This denies the sugestion that P2P was not made by partners cooperation. The process of finding new consensual dates for 34 organizations (number of partners in application of February, 2016) is not easy and so, this time, 6 of our partners (two countries) had to leave the project. We are sure of the work that we can still do but the feeling of "could be better" remains. Each partner has a fundamental part in this project, exchanging experience, knowledge and habilities for each stage of the project and this supports the fact that the changing of partners brings new solutions for the weak points of previous assessment. In the process we are recognizing that changing partners actualy contributes for new and stronger partnerships (among all the implicated organizations, not only linked to us).
