Pedagogical Approaches to Child Education in European Perspective
Date du début: 1 sept. 2014, Date de fin: 31 août 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Our project is called PEACH – Pedagogical Approaches to Child Education in European Perspective. The participants are students of Social Pedagogy and Social Management including Curative Education and Care (HEP) at the Adolf-Reichwein-Schule Limburg (educators in training) as well as teaching staff and practitioners. The training and project idea focuses upon changes in educational practice especially in the area of training educators for early-childhood education, based on the Hessen state syllabus “Bildung von Anfang an” (0-10 years). These changes impact on the following areas: kindergarten for under threes; additional childcare facilities; academic standards for training of educators; international harmonization of educators’ training; adoption of aspects of inclusion in childcare settings. The primary focus of the project lies in the study of different pedagogical approaches to child education in a European perspective, in particular in the field of mathematics, science, music, arts and literacy. The aim of our project is to promote open-mindedness in our students, especially in connection with alternative educational concepts and impulses. This requires critical awareness and the ability to derive actions and strategies from international authentic learning situations. Intellectual mobility is closely linked with geographical mobility. Students will gain valuable insights into European-wide standards of educator training and will learn to use them in their professional environment. The project will be realized in cooperation with the Joensuu College / Finland between 01.07.2014 and 31.07.2015. In addition, the opportunity to study the learning and training conditionsof the partner country and to share and exchange experiences of best practice with colleagues in the partner country are of primary importance to teachers and practitioners. Particular focus shall be placed upon forms of assessment, creation of innovative learning environments, cooperative forms of learning, interlinking of school and practice learning environments.
