PIC 2 is a two-year project. 33 VET professionals at Raisio Regional Education and Training Consortium (Raseko) perform their 7 - 12 days mobility period abroad and couple of shorter 3 days visits. Host organisation are from Germany, Norway, North-Ireland (Great Britain), Sweden, France, Lithuania and Spain. Internationalism, multiculturalism, knowledge about different working cultures and vocational competencies as well as diverse language skills is important elements of the teachers in their work. As a result, Raseko sees that staff member’s continuing education is important for developing international work. Mobility period are approved as part of Raseko's continuing education, which has been agreed separately between participant and their managers development discussions. Staff member’s continuing education is mentioned on the Raseko level in Consortium's own HR strategy and unit-level in the annual staff training plans. Participants are VET teachers, administration, counselors and apprenticeship center staff members, which has shown their interest to act more closely in Raseko's international activities for students and for development. There is a cultural training which is according to the needs and participants self-orientation for language and vocational subjects before the period. Report training will be given by the Consortium's international coordinator after the period. During the mobility periods participants are able to collect learning outcomes that are able students to achieve during their 6 or 8 weeks of work-based learning periods. In addition, participants will increase their and their schools knowledge about international activities and they will learn also new teaching practices and techniques when job-shadowing teaching at the host organisations. Mobility periods also support the participant's language skills, as well as individual learning pathways plans in consortium's various departments. In addition, those departments that have not yet been internationally oriented can start their international activities development. The outcome is gathered and analyzed learning outcomes that can achieve abroad. Consortium gets information on work practices and work cultures in other countries. Consortium also develops competencies and experiences in ECVET system together with host organisations. Consortium's project fair, staff members meetings in departments, local newspapers, homapage, network of vocational schools and internationally such as through EREIVET network.
