Pathway to integration : training Roma fot knowledge of their Rights in Europe
Date du début: 1 janv. 2013,

We want to contribute to resolve needs of training on key civic and social competences of Romas (need identified all over Europe) , so that they will be in capacity to know and defend their fundamental rights, to exercise their rights thanks to appropriatie civic competences. Such skills are a pathway to social and professional integration. To reach this objective, we will identify the needs to provide tools to the trainers (professionals and volunteers) working with these populations and to increase their ability to transmit these key competences, thanks to specific materials on fundamental rights, social and civic competences, as each of the members of the consortium (and their respective partners) stated the lack of this kind of materials adapted to the targeted groups, each in his country. The Charter of Fundamental rights, included in the EU Treaty, will be the leading theme and will give coherence to these materials. Starting from existing tools which will need to be gathered, discussed, adapted and completed, we will produce an “educational toolkit” with the needed data, easy and ready to use for any speaker thanks to a "trainer's guide" and to in situ video sequences. This toolkit will be tested with trainers and groups of Roma (empowerment) before being amended, validated and then printed.200 copies of this toolkit will be produced in 4 languages (EN, FR, ES, CZ) and it will be available on a dedicated website. We will launch the large use of the toolkit by implementing 5 training sessions taking this opportunity to realize pedagogical video clips . 5 transnational seminars will allow the partners to meet, to build and to discuss all the stages of the project and to initiate communication and dissemination. The toolkit will be disseminated within the local groups of the consortium as well as toward partner networks in order to integrate its use into existing initiatives for Rom (we foresee in average nearly 1000 persons taught per year).
