Based on previous experiences in the cooperation between the youth center “die9” in Herford (NRW, Germany, provided by AWO OWL e.V.) and the municipal youth-sports center MSC, located in Tikhvin, Russia, a common interest was developed to intensify the existing teamwork and to project a comprehensive and ongoing cooperation. This interest has been confirmed by the youths in both counties, who had participated in and profited from the experiences with former activities. For the wider resumption of the cooperation both partners agreed to involve the youths in the process of planning. In November 2016 a group of young people from both cultural spheres are going to plan a common mobility project on the basis of own interests and experiences. For this purpose the young people with two tutors from both sides join in Herford, Germany for a planning-workshop, where they will reconcile their interests, learn different planning-techniques and apply them to the concrete planning of the activity. The participants aim to formulate a shared assignment for the authorities in both partner-organizations. This assignment will be regarded as a binding foundation for the further realization of the youth-mobility-project by the partners in Herford and Tikhvin in the following year (2017). Participating youths will be asked to take part and support the mobility project. For the longer term both partners aim to reinforce the central position of young people in Germany and Russia in planning and carrying out corporate youth-projects.
