Oynasak da mı Öğrensek?
Date du début: 1 août 2016, Date de fin: 31 oct. 2017 PROJET  TERMINÉ

Kusadasi Hasan Fatma Onal Anatolian High School is a secondary school founded in 2005. Due to the emphasis on institutional quality development, we have School Development and Administration Teams under our Total Quality Management activities in which all our staff take part. Within the scope of these activities, our institutional objectives that have been modified by the new Regulation on Secondary Education Institutions and the requirements of our continuously changing age has necessitated further quality development and professionalism activities. The needs and SWOT analysis carried out by the teams at the beginning of the education year has revealed our institution's requirements for quality development and professionalism. The main requirements determined by the teams are subjects such as integration of technology into education, improving student motivation, fighting with absenteeism and early school leaving, making students more active in the classes, learning new teaching and training methods and the improvement of institutional cooperation. These requirements are also in line with the 2020 strategy of the European Union. The results of the survey taken by all our staff for the application of this project has also revealed that the individual needs are in coherence with the needs of the institution. While preparing for the project, training subjects have been determined and an agreement has been reached about the courses and related participants after negotiations with the course providers. Within our project, there will be 14 mobilities to a total of 6 different courses. All our participants have bachelor and/or masters degrees and they have a minimum teaching experience of 10 years. Our project has two main objectives. The first of these is actively using the interactive boards and tablet computers provided for us by the Fatih Project of our Ministry of Education. In today’s continuously developing technology, realizing this objective is a must to increase the interest and motivation of our students who can neither think of a life without technology nor know to use technology correctly and efficiently. Due to this, our teachers are obliged to learn how to ensure that they integrate technology and use the newest methods in their lessons. Our second objective which is closely connected with the first one is to use the “gamification” and “game based learning” methods in our school as part of the curriculum. Despite the fact that gamification has been used in the business sector for a while, it has recently begun to be used in education in Europe and it is not widely known in our country yet. The knowledge we have obtained from the researches we have been making since 2014 and from our KA2 Strategic Partnership on the same subject will be supported with the professional and practical attainments of this projects and gamification will be gradually applied in our school from 2016-2017 education year. During the project cycle, the activities that will be carried out will include the preparation of our participants before the courses and monitoring and support during the courses, cooperation between the teams, competence and experience exchanges through institutional workshops, and the knowledge, skills and experience exchanges with different institutions as a part of our dissemination activities. The trainings that we will participate will primarily provide the individual development of our participants. Our participants will improve their competences in foreign languages, learn new teaching and training methods, develop their current methods and gain information and experience about the integration of technology into their lessons. In addition to all these, they will experience getting together with their colleagues in different countries, working in an international group, finding solutions to similar problems with different approaches and they will develop a European awareness. Integration of the competences gained during the courses to the activities of our institution will contribute to our long term and sustainable institutional quality development, professionalism and internationalization. Within the scope of our dissemination activities, the information and experience we will transfer to/exchange with the other educational institutions in our area will ensure the monitoring and application of this improvement and professionalization all around our region. The development to be experienced by our participants and all the members of our staff will primarily be reflected on our students and starting from there it will shed light to the institutions and individuals in our region who have similar needs. We will make the best effort for the continuity and sustainability of our project attainments and they will contribute to the gradual improvement of the institutional quality and development of our vision and lead us into finding long term and permanent "out of the box" solutions for our problems
