Number and profile of participants In our child-care-center we can have one volunteer per year, alternately from different countries and men or women.Description of the activity / project implementationThe volunteer stays for 12 months, which means she experiences the complete sequence of a school year. The volunteer is participant of the outdoor-group, she so works every day and in all weather conditions outdoors.The volunteer will participate or cooperate in all places as an additional person. She will accompany the outdoor-group as additional staff. She has the chance to bring in her own experiences and as well help to develop and perform activities such as to work on climate change.She will experience and accompany the daily routine in a group and be present as a contact person for the children.The volunteer can participate and experience the language project "Early opportunities" and learn how to very young children German teaching is performed.Expected results and effects / long-term benefit / project objectivesThe volunteer should be aware of other cultures and get to know them. By the coincidence of different values, attitudes of the volunteer in her settings perceive, reflect and check.Thus she learns tolerance and openness towards all people and she learns to think European. The volunteers will mint and intensify their intercultural understanding.We serve many families with a migration background and by the employment of volunteers we want to intensify intercultural understanding and develop tolerance capability towards other mentality. We understand the volunteer year as a challenge to go on to a new crossing borders (European, language, culture). Transcultural exchange is to be lived.In addition, we can reflect our own work and the effect on new, previously uninvolved employees. So we want to combine learning and teaching.The sustainability of the project is guaranted by the environmental experience, climate and nature conservation as well as the intercultural experience.
