Our first step to internationalization
Date du début: 31 déc. 2014, Date de fin: 30 déc. 2016 PROJET  TERMINÉ

The main idea of this project is to make Kaukas Primary School international. This is our schools' first application for international activity. We hope to gain new partnerts to work with, new ideas and methods to use in our schools' curriculum and improve our ICT-skills. We hope to encourage teachers and students to improve their language skills. Because our curriculum is been updated in 2016, we feel this project will be an important inspiration source for us. It's the opportunity to develop professionally and have a wider understanding how Finland is a part of Europe. Learning projects will help us to develop working methodologies that we use in our school. This will also benefit to our curriculum. All three participants are part of our school's management group. We repsesent different professions in our school: head master, special teacher and classroom teacher. Our management group is involved with other schools in our city, which gives us a perfect way to share our experience with other organizations. We hope to participate in three different kind of courses (language skills, ICT-skills, cultural knowledgement) and job shadowing. We're also organizing job shadowing opportunities for other European teachers. Using eTwinning to cooperate with other schools across Europe. We will share the gained knowledge with our colleagues so they can also benefit from it. As a result the quality of teaching will be improved in our school. We will share our ideas originated from exchange of experiences and good practices with teachers from other European countries. New ideas will be a source of inspiration and may result in enriched curriculum. Our advanced skills will raise motivation and confidence in our work. Having inspiring role models students will be encouraged to set their goals high. This will bring positive effects to our teachers and students. We believe that our participation in this project will encourage our colleagues and other schools in the area to apply to the international projects in the future.
