OPENING MINDS- TOGETHER IN EUROPE Our shool is situated in Lublin the capital of Lublin Region,Poland. On the outside border of EU, neighboring Ukraine and Belarus . We are a middle size institution with 450 students and 75 employees including 70 teachers. So far sport, special needs education and modern languages have been our main fields of interest. The most important part of our project is training directly related to the topic of integration of children of refugees , migrants and asylum seekers. Courses will provide us with tools of social integration, to prevent xenophobia, racism and promoting appropriate attitudes among students and teachers. We will focus on the internationalization of the mission of our school and the introduction of more European dimension in education and multiculturalism. We also want to make change and modernize the methodology and didactics of teaching. We want to increase the share of ICT in teaching and we plan to introduce foreign language teaching using Clil method. To achieve this, our staff will take part in 27 training courses. All in all there will be 17 participants. In all phases of the project i.e. preparation, implementation, and after it finishes we will work accordingly to EU law, and know how, taking care to keep the impact sustainable. We will ensure good cooperation with the receiving organizations and with the participants. Evaluation, monitoring and dissemination of results will be implemented according to the plan activly involving all participants. All mentioned above actions should lead to considerable improvement in our teaching practice and in our students achievements. New knowledge will be included in curriculum, and skills will be applied into practice. Thanks to European added value, the emphasis will be placed on integration, fighting racism and prejudice, internationalisation of our school, learning languages, gaining new intercultural experience. We have a great responsibility for the development of a new generation, we want to prepare our students for adult life, endowed them with the ability to use foreign languages, adapt to changing conditions, teamwork, multiculturalism, tolerance, open mind and self-esteem.
