Date du début: 1 juil. 2014, Date de fin: 31 juil. 2015 PROJET  TERMINÉ

In the project "Open minds for intercultural learning" we will invite 6 volunteers from 3 countries (from Spain, Italy and Germany) for the duration of 10 months between September 2014 and June 2015. The volunteers will work in Bialystok Special Educational School Centre and in The Complex of Schools in Dąbrowa Białostocka. In all of these places volunteers will work for different groups of local community: the disabled, children and youth, elderly people/ inhabitants of towns in general. The field of their work will be: promotion of culture, European citizenship, active participation, social attitude and many other values, which are our common European heritage. The title of the project express two things we care about: learning and being opened. Realizing this project we would like to create the space good for learning, which wouldn’t be possible without being open for others, for the world and oneself. The combination of different spheres of education and co-operation of institutions in the field of formal and non-formal education may show learning doesn’t happen just while sitting in benches in classrooms, but in many other forms and spaces and can the equally effective. Our aims we would like to achieve by using methods focused on being active and creative, for example workshops, meetings about culture and languages, games and sports. What we care is that after closing the project the volunteers feel strengths and power to continue work and activities, to become more aware of their abilities, making it easier for them to arrange further life and surroundings, what would be helpful in finding themselves in reality and job market. We hope that after ending of project people of host organizations and local communities around are be more open-minded, showed understanding, and to look more broadly and reflectively on the learning process.
