TERMINÉ
The Project” Open to Europe, open to changes” will be conducted by Primary School in Szlembark. The project assumes the teachers’ participation in foreign courses as part of the in-service training. In addition, it intends to establish international contacts and to involve the school in international projects. As a result, the teachers as well as the students will seize an opportunity to make international contacts. Furthermore, the participation in the project gives a chance to learn some modern teaching techniques and innovative forms of training. Moreover, it is an opportunity to promote our school in a wider society. It also broadens the minds and the range of interests. The main objectives of the project :1. To improve the workers’ qualifications and skills in the range of foreign language innovative teaching techniques and language skills.2. To promote openness, tolerance and respect for multiculturalism.3. To use new tools in teaching and international cooperation : TIK , online tools, etc.4. To strengthen the school European dimension and its international range.5. To encourage students to constant learning (both formal and informal).Five teachers from our school will take part in the project: Jadwiga Wojtaszek, Natalia Plewa, Franciszka Gacek, Mariola Solana, Jadwiga Solana. Mrs Jadwiga Wojtaszek is the head teacher and a primary education teacher. She’s got a master’s degree in pedagogy and postgraduate studies in range of education management and physiotherapy exercises. She will be the coordinator of the project. Mrs Natalia Plewa is a Master of Arts in English . She teaches the first, second, third grade students and the preschool children. She will be the second coordinator of the project. Mrs Franciszka Gacek is a Master of Arts in Polish. She’s got a postgraduate degree in history and a qualifying course in library science. She teaches Polish and History. She runs a school library as well. She will account for the project and support the coordinators. Miss Mariola Solana has a bachelor’s degree in Maths and she teaches this subject in the fourth, fifth and sixth grades. She will promote the effects of the project. Mrs Jadwiga Solana has a master’s degree in primary and preschool education. She will do the evaluation part together with the coordinators. The main activities during the project include: mobility trips to England and Malta including a methodology course of foreign language teaching ( for the foreign language teacher) and foreign language courses ( for the rest of the teachers).Other activities:1. To put some information about the project on the school website.2. To organize a meeting for students and teachers.3. To put some information about the project on Internet forums such as Facebook, Twitter.4. To invite to European workshops ( schools that have taken part in similar projects).5. To design a project logo and a leaflet about the project.6. To put all activities on the school website.7. To organize an European Day.8. To publish some information in educational magazines.9. To organize language workshops for parents and teachers from different schools.10. To make an art contest called “ Our school in Europe”.11. To prepare a performance in English.12. To get some international certificates.After entering the project, the school expects the following results: 1. To improve language skills and establish international contacts and cooperation.2. To get an ability to work in groups.3. To use TIK tools.4. To expand knowledge during the exchange of experience.5. To make evaluative documents.6. To increase motivation for learning and self-education and raise self confidence.7. To create multicultural competence and openness to different cultures, history .8. To enhance the school prestige.The long -term advantages of the project:The school promotion in the country and abroad, the increase of teachers’ and students’ language competences and better chances for finding a job abroad as well as in the home country, learning how to use information and communication technologies, the increase of involvement in conducted activities, learning how to cope with stress, an introduction of new teaching techniques, the ability to find foreign partners and to show our achievements in international environment.
