Primary school Hovezi wants to integrate with an European project at first. We have had only experience with project EUmoney to schools which contributed to improving teaching in a lot of subjects and to a developement of computer literacy of our teachers. We are inspired by this good experience to integrating us to project Erasmus+ and sending out 2 our teachers on a language-methodology course in the United Kingdom. We have contacted an intermediary agency for reservation all necessarities for an abroad stay. Paticipants and a coordinator of project chose an appropriate courses in cooperation with the intemediary agency and according to requirements of a development plan our school. They were based on a requirement for a good reference and contents of courses. The intemediary agency made a pre-registration of chosen courses and it will be participate in reservation of transport, accommodation and insurance of the teachers.
We can see a main purpose in an enrichment of two sending out teachers with new skills and practical teaching techniques in English which they can use in English lessons. They want to motivate children with their enthusiasm and widespread knowledge of life and customs. They want to show our pupils how important using English is. They will lead them to realization if they acquire English better they can learn more information about life, history, music and other areas of their interest from people living in other European countries.
The result of the project will be improving two English teachers in language which they teach in our school and update their methodology, practical teaching techniques and skills. They will be able to discuss and share ideas, problems, methods and techniques with peers from other parts of the world. They will transfer lessons learned and skills on their colleagues in methodology appointments of language teachers and visiting each other in lessons. Their knowledge and recognition will be reflected in English lessons. The English teachers who are sent out the leanguage-methodology course will become coordinators, interpreters and helpers in Key activity2 which is planned for near future.
The English teacher at basic school will try to improve in language and teaching techniques. She regulary takes parts in expert seminars. She plans to pass international language exam from English, that is why she was chosen for this project. The teacher of older children (coordinator and contact person) has been teaching English for 14 years, she passed an international exam FCE. She still tries to find appropriate teaching techniques, which lead pupils to knowledge of language and need for using the international language actively.
From a long-term perspective we can see a main purpose in involving other teachers to the project, improving a prestige of school and motivating of children with learning English more actively.
