Optimierung des Englischunterrichts - Aufbau von CLIL

The Schillerschule Bensheim works in cooperation with other schools to optimize English lessons and improve/use learner centred ideas and methods. But still we experience more and more difficulties in learning English - vocab and grammar. The newly planned project is about getting in contact with other European teachers and schools, about learning innovative and motivating methods and the organization of CLIL-lessons. To realize the planned project, we would like to take advantage of two development courses abroad. One will be joined by two English teachers to gain more knowledge about new English teaching methods and about CLIL. The other one will be joined by two other teachers (teaching Art, Geography) to increase their language knowledge and speaking fluency and to develop more CLIL ideas. Both activities will be intoduced in the colleagues' meeting and are seen as a new and important way of teaching English at our school.
