Teaching staff: The school needs to improve the school's own global education curriculum for classes 0 to 2. The national curriculum will change 2016 and the new global education curriculum of our school needs to achieve the objectives of the new national curriculum. The teachers who take part in job shadowing activities will commit to prepare the new good-quality global education curriculum. The participants are 2 class teachers and 1 English teacher, who have all been active in the previous Comenius project and have taken part in preparing the global education curriculum. They all have experience in collaborative teaching. The timetable for the visit will be made together with the contact person of the partner organisation. During each day of the visit our objective is to take part in teaching together with the host organisation's class teacher. We will learn about language teaching - English language showers - to small children and offer our know-how on collaborative teaching. After each day of the visit we will write a short reflection of what we have learnt from the point of view of the global education curriculum. After the visit we will prepare the new global education curriculum for classes 0 to 2. Participants of the job shadowing activity will teach the other staff of our school so that all the staff of Alakylä school has the same knowledge in the field of global education (for small children). This will give all the pupils equal opportunities to global education. It has been planned that the co-operation with the Spanish school will continue and their teachers will visit our school for a job shadowing period. Our expertise is in the field of collaborative teaching. One of the objectives of the project is to maintain and enhance co-operation with the Spanish school. Administration: The participant will be the principal. According to the PISA tests our school system is in a period of transition. Therefore we need new ways to approach the development of teaching and the organisation of teaching. Before the visit the principal will prepare for the job shadowing activity by preping-up his English vocabulary and by setting up a slide show about the Finnish school system and our school. During the visit he will get acquainted with the host organisation's administration, use of resources and its networks. He will also learn about the organisation of work in the host organisation and familiarize himself with how the school has prepared for the future expectations of the sociaty. One of the objectives is to get to know how ICT is used in the host organisation. Our aim is to stay in contact and cooperate with the partner schools. Our school will welcome the staff of the partner schools to do the job shadowing activity in our school. We will stay in contact through AdobeConnect and email.
